Oh life! We were stranded in Ohio for 13 hours, just waiting and hoping. - - On our 15 hour road trip down to Georgia, we had the misfortune of hitting an animal. We also had the misfortune of this animal damaging the system in the front of a car that keeps an engine cool. - - At 5:00AM, in the pouring rain, our car overheated and we were stranded on the side of the road - not knowing what was going on with our car.- - We called road side assistance, waited, and they didn’t show. We drove 2 minutes to a Walmart car shop, which was closed. We had to wait hours for it open. Upon opening, it turns out, they couldn’t help us.- - 4 hours later, in the rain, were stranded at a Walmart with a broken car, only to find out that ALL auto shops in Ohio were closed - as it was Sunday. Just our luck. - - As a last resort, we called an auto parts store. It turned out the men there knew many mechanics, and offered to help us out, so we drove 5 minutes to them.- - They diagnosed our car issue, spent hours calling EVERYONE they knew who was a mechanic - but just our luck, no one was around, as it was fathers fay. - - FINALLY after 7 hours, they got a hold of a friend, who fixed our car.- - Those beautiful two men, and those two beautiful mechanics took us under their wing, found us help, drove us around town to get parts, drove us to get lunch, AND generously discounted us hundreds of dollars. - - Long story short, we spend 13 hours, just waiting. And a 15 hour trip turned into a 30 hour trip. With ZERO SLEEP. - - I learned yesterday that there are such beautiful, selfless and generous people out there. I will remember their kindness forever.
Recently, I have applied new ways into my way of being, that have made a H U G E difference in my days. - - 1) stop complaining about anything. Things unfold, happen and are, just the way that they are meant to. - - 2) be impeccable with my word. Speaking only to my highest standards of myself and my life, and my comprehension of them. This includes no swearing, “slang”, short forms or raising my voice. - - 3) consciously let go of each past day with reflection and meditation, and welcoming each new day with the same measures. - - 4) stay off of Instagram/ social media, unless posting or sharing. Not lurking for long, as I am desire to spend most of my reality here in the physical world. - - 5) giving my 100% full attention to the task, person or thing at hand, in that exact moment. Not multitasking whatsoever. (I.E, if I am eating, I am not watching TV or oh my phone). - - The intention behind these was, and is, from a place of feeling and sharing more love; experiencing more peace, stillness and balance; experiencing more energy and joy; and extending a closer reach towards my highest self🌿 and of course if these resonate with you, try them on!
🌿be where you are; not where you are thinking🌿
To be present, to be with yourself, to be centred and balanced and connected, is to be grounded. Grounding is creating dynamic contact with the earth and with your body. We all posses the skill of physically touching the ground with each step, but this contact is empty if we are not grounded. To ground, is to be aware and conscious. Without grounding we are unstable. We lose our centre and balance, get swept off our feet by our thoughts or daydreams, and we lose sense of our direction and purpose, here in earth. Natural charge; creativity; play; joy become dissipative. When we are not grounded into our being and with the earth, our attention wanders from the present moment and we appear to be not all here. To be grounded is to be here, still, comfortable, connected and unbothered🌿
When I add water into the movements in my body, and when I add fire into the movements in my body, Everything is pushed out of the corners inside my physical and mental self, that it comes right out to the surface - or to my conscious awareness. All of my things come to the surface - conscious and suppressed things that I have held onto - that govern me, my thoughts, emotions, feelings and behaviours. It’s really quite neat to see the things I am holding onto. I write in my journal to bring awareness to the things coming up. And when everything comes out, it leaves space. Space for newness and clear energy. Clarity. Cleanse. This morning I did just that! With a vitamin filled homemade face mask on; with a cup of hot vanilla coffee; under the sunshine and around all of the nature. Happy sunday🔆
If you see something beautiful, speak it
Give yourself the same care and attention that you give to others, and to the things outside of yourself. And watch what happens🔆
Be ever so present in your external surroundings, but do not be adversely affected by inessentials. Turn your focus inwards, and as your focus turns inwards to yourself - into your divine light and true self - you will naturally identify less and less with the external inessentials that do, or would govern your persona and values. You will have no desire to be like them. You will have no desire to conform to what is normal or expected. You will have no desire to not be your true self; living a life of authenticity, love and creation. To have the things around you will not alter or manipulate your experience of yourself and your life, is K E Y to life.

BREAKTHROUGH! I ACCOMPLISHED ONE OF MY SIX YOGA GOALS FOR 2019! Goal accomplished: puppy press off of the ground into handstand. How exciting!! As of now, two of my six (2/6) goals have been accomplished - first goal being to kick back from a forearm wheel back into pincha. I am enlivened and joyous pondering what this increase of strength and flexibility will support me in, in my Hatha yoga practice🙏🏼
So many kisses from the sun and so much naturalistic sounds - it brings me back home. I release invitation for you, for at any moment you find yourself wandering around with your claustrophobic or ungrounded thoughts - carrying you off of your feet and out of your presence - to come back to, and be aware of, the most profound external stimuli surrounding you at that moment. The one that is catching one of your (5) senses. Perhaps for you, that’s a smell, a sight, a sound, a taste or a touch. My most cherished profound external stimuli will ALWAYS be the SOUND of the way nature is unraveling that day. The sounds of wind hitting the leaves. The sounds of birds singing. The sounds of water flowing down a stream. For you, where you are, that could be the smell of your coffee. Or the sound of your feet stepping on the ground. Or the feeling of your sheets. Or the taste of your lunch. Or the sight of what is in front of you. In that moment, whatever it is for you, as it is for me, if you ever have a moment where your thoughts take you elsewhere, come back home - presence - by becoming aware of a profound external stimuli connecting to one of your (5) senses.
I am learning to find the (important) differentiation between self care and self discipline. When - according to my mental and physical body - is it time for me to pause, take a step back and return my presence back to something at a later time. Versus when do I need to push myself harder and stop being lazy? I am learning that when I begin identifying with, and welcoming mass amounts of stress into my life; when I experience a lack of motivation or inspiration, or when I find that my creative, joyous flow of life is at pause, this means that pausing, to return later, is what I need most. Are you in touch with yourself to know the difference between needing self care and self discipline? 🙏🏼
When you are not wholehearted in this life of yours, you will suffer. When you are not wholehearted in the place you are present in, what you are occupying your presence doing, or who you are; your goodness shuts down. The parts of you, that are genuine, creative, happy, authentic and joyous, shut down, and you (the true you) begins not to participate. Your creative force; your divine consciousness, and your white light within yourself all become constricted internally, and this hinders it all from flowing outwards into your external life, too. When you are not living wholeheartedly, you will suffer. This too, I am learning - and I wish for you to learn this as well.
Create a beautiful place inside of yourself, and then begin to expand and build it outwards. Who you are, inside, is what you experience, outside.
a lot of loving
Swipe to find out!➡️ Twists are my favourite, as they ring and release energy’s and tensions that I carry in my torso. It’s especially amazing for IBS or abdominal issue sufferers. Most twists, for me, are very restorative, so I thought I would add in some hip love and play around with my Drishti (focused gaze) and challenge my balance.
The manipulation of moments is imbedded into most of our everyday experiences. We often strive for our moments to be certain ways, and we often forget that things are the way that they are, and that is all there is to it. We often miss out on the surging flow of our existence. And when we forget to move with the flow, and attach ideas of how things SHOULD be to them, we become let down and this creates anger, irritability, upset. And when we forget to move with the flow, and we manipulate our experiences, we disconnect ourselves from our life and ourselves.- - When I first watched this clip I immediately thought “woah, I need to like refilm that moment or something”, because it looks horrible and I know I can do much better. All I could focus on was how I wish I practiced this outside, and that this is not my best. - - But then I remembered that this filmed moment was just the way it was. There is no need to recreate the moment to manipulate the way that it exactly was. And I think this is a very important concept to grasp. 🙏🏼
