Notre-Dame Cathedral was finished in 1345, it survived for 674 years, it survived two World Wars and it was there when French people took La Bastille. She survived revolutions, wars, bombs, saw France’s both imprisonment and liberation. And now a fire has destroyed it in 10 minutes and I’m sitting here, kilometers away and I cannot do anything but watch almost 700 years of history getting destroyed. History is dying in front of us right now and pictures are sincerely heartbreaking. Do not forget our motto: “fluctuat nec mergitur”. Everything is not lost, we will rebuild Notre-Dame again like we did before, and she will be just as beautiful, strong and majestic as she has always been. No fire can keep Paris down. Notre-Dame’s soul will live forever.
