So i tried @phoenixkazree version of @marioncrampe new move and at first i didn't feel anything on the top arm but after this one my 3rd attempt i came out and my arm was so dead its been 5mins and its still partially numb. How long did it take for your arm to have full feeling again? Heed the warnings ☢ be careful of this move!!!
Finally got around to posting this vid from our student showcase. Had so much fun doing this with you all! Video by @leias_legacy
The struggle is real owning and running a pole studio. 💎 I teach around 27hrs a week every week. 💎 I also train around 10hrs every week which includes - 💎 Choreographing all of the routine based classes which there are 4x different ones. 💎 Constantly learning new tricks for my elite girls. 💎 Learning new flips for the girls that do our flips class. 💎 Then finally training myself with what little time or energy i have left. Ontop of that there is the back end (the boring part) all the paperwork, accouting, emails, scheduling and then there's cleaning to be done. It takes me 2hrs just to clean the mirrors and mop the floors let alone everything else. Good thing i love what i do right! I wouldn't change it for anything. Our clients are incredible and they really make it all worth it. When i see their happy faces when they nail a move, or when i see them supporting each other or greeting a new student and making them feel welcome makes me feel so warm inside. We have an incredible culture at flying high one that's loving, caring and supporting, it's one that i am truly proud of. 🔝 This is a few moves i worked on yesterday and by worked on i mean i did them like twice each 😂😂
💥 So I'm thinking of adding this combo into the advanced pole routine... 💥 What do you guys think do you want to do this combo? 💥 Advanced pole routine runs every wed at 8pm and sun at 9am
Morning cuddles with this guy ❤❤❤
Floorplay - this is last terms routine, if you're interested in learning routines just like this one then come and join us for a great workout. This class is soooo much fun, full of kips, head flicks, rolls and cardio. We really work up a sweat doing these routines. When our students first started learning this routine they thought they wouldn't be able to acheive it but after 8 weeks the have it nailed. We spend a lot of time going over the individual moves to make sure you don't get lost in all the craziness. The new routines start from the 4th of March. Floorplay - Wed 5pm & Sun 10am Beginner Floorplay - Tues 7pm & Sat 10am. With @megan.cornick & @tbax33 they are both wearing matching shorts by the incredible @playfulcatpolewear
So i got inspired today after watching the netflix series tidying up with @mariekondo. I love this way of folding i can see all of the things! Now to work on the rest of the house 😱😱
Who loves Titegrip? We certainly do! Tite Grip is a topical hand cream which was formulated to stop your hands from perspiring, it is non-sticky and works between 4 – 6 hours. For optimal use, apply 30-60 minutes prior to activity. To apply Tite Grip put a small amount in your hands and rub them together, you will immediately feel three things happen: - Moisture will be drawn from your hands - Your hands will become temporarily sticky - Your hands will become dry and stay dry Tite Grip will keep your hands dry while on the pole. Tite Grip 2 is the most popular formula. It is creamer, easier to put on and good for hands and body. @tite_grip
Term 2 is now up online and ready for you to book your classes! This is a great time for beginners to start their pole journey!
I hope you all have a gorgeous day whether you are celebrating Valentines day or not.
I just want to thank all of my students (past, present & future) for supporting Flying High. You guys make the studio a special place to be which is always filled with smiles and laughter. You have all helped and supported me in creating this warm inviting space so for that, i thank you. I hope to be teaching you all for many years to come and i love that you are all a big part of my life i wouldn't want it any other way.
❤ So Yvonne is freaking incredible, I'm blown away each time i watch her dance. Such a verstatile dancer with incredible strength, she makes everything look so effortless. I have many pole idols and i have been extremely fortunate to have been able to meet and attend workshops with many of them. I would love to do a workshop with Yvonne so if you ever come to Perth, Australia please let me know!! 🙏 I chose this video because it's just so fun, i love everything about this. ❤ Reposted from @yvonnesmink
Sundays are my fav day of the week! I do work for a couple of hours in the morning so no sleep in for me but i make up for that later on in the day. My partner and i usually spend sundays together as the rest of the week we don't get to see each other much. Our afternoons consist of snuggling up in bed watching netflix, gaming or napping. We tend to cook dinner together which is dangerous as it's the only time we ever argue haha we have different ways of cooking 👨🍳💥🍳👩🍳 After dinner we take the dogs for a walk along the river. We are so lucky to live so close to the river its gorgeous. I hope you all have a beautiful lazy sunday today!
This is my fav class on our timetable! This class is full of bodyrolls, headflicks, kips, rolls, splits and all importantly dance. I love teaching this class, seeing everyone dance it together at the end of the 8 weeks makes me so happy. Floorplay is lots of fun and its a great way to get in your cardio. We have beg and advanced classes to suit any level. Beg runs every sat at 10am and advanced is every wed at 5pm and sunday at 10am.
It's the month of love and i want to share with you my fav instagram accounts i stalk regularly! @marlofisken the queen of flow. I love her transitions. She is incredible on and off the pole there is so much to learn from watching marlo. @olgakoda I love her style I am always inspired when i watch her vids. @missfillypolediva This woman is awesome always smashing out wicked static combos and love her drops and flips. I'm sure a lot of you follow these guys already but if not get onboard cause you are missing out!
I have the most rewarding job, in fact i don't consider it a job at all, as i love being at the studio. I love seeing the smiles on our students faces when they get a move for the first time and i absolutely love that our staff and students have created the amazing culture that we have at Flying High. Everyone cheers each other on and encourages each other to keep trying if they struggle to get a new move. I love seeing our new students growing stronger, flexier and more confident each time they attend our classes and I love seeing them perform and grow as dancers. There is nothing better then going to work and seeing all these amazing people every day. You all make flying high a special place to be so thank you! Photo by @leias_legacy_photography
1. Bring a friend - pole is always fun, but coming along with a friend can help ease the nerves on attending your first pole class. 2. No strength is required - A beg pole class does not require any strength or level of fitness whatsoever so come as you are and learn the basics. 3. What to wear - a singlet or crop top, shorts as you need the skin on your thighs to grip the pole and the class can be done barefoot or in heels. 4. What to expect - You will be learning the basics so things like spins and sits on the pole, floorwork and linking a couple of moves together into a combo. 5. Have fun! Dont stress if you can't nail the moves straight away, mastering pole skills takes time and practise. The instructor makes all the moves look beautiful and effortless but just remember they have usually been pole dancing for many years.
