Видимо, во время своего хардкорного выживания наедине с природой, изгои-варги смогли постичь искусство оборотничества, таким образом, став первопроходцами и родоначальниками традиции ульфхединов (берсерков-волков).
Замечу, что подписчик, Роман Шилов, как-то писал в комментах, что викинги побаивались своих же ульфхединов/берсерков - в свете вышесказанного это становится понятно - исторически будучи лиходеями и отступниками-отщепенцами, они представляли из себя в первую очередь эталон сознания одиночки, и в плане социальных движух не очень заинтересованные ребята были.
В ещё более поздних вырождающихся деградированных представлениях слово "варг" стало просто уравниваться по значению с волком.
Толкин популяризировал эту тему, сделав варгами - средство передвижения/ездовых животных для орков и гоблинов [боевые еденицы - "наездники на варгах"].
В языке Фарерских островов сохранилась древнейшая скандинавская трактовка понятия варг:
skarn-vargur - "сварливый, задиристый человек / негодяй";

Found some goodies tonight #thrifting . I’ve wanted a large natural basket for ages to put candles and other miscellaneous items in by my altar. I found in reduced from $20 to $4.99 at Harris Teeter. They had several different sizes all under $10 and some of them huge. If I had more space I’d have gotten more of them. Also found my favorite lavender spray on sale there so I had to splurge. Went to #goodwill and found this wooden chalice and a wood incense tower that has room for multiple sticks and cone and it doesn’t look like it’s ever been used. Finally found two books at a a King’s Daughters thrift shop. I didn’t have a nice copy of Homer and it’s gorgeous I for the Iliad & The Odyssey for $3 I couldn’t pass it up and then this little book on Irish fairies that goes into so much for such a small little book.
