One of the items I had brought to test out to Bike camp at #littleharborcampground was this Katadyn BeFree Water Filtration System - 3 Liter. Ben emailed ahead to me and said they had running drinking water but just for trial and error and to train with my filtering system I bought the Katadyn Be-free. Okay Kellie liked the idea of filtering the water source, but she did not care for squeeze bag set ups due to fear of bursting the 3 liter bag or the filter or the seals. I agree. But the Water from the Katadyn filter was tasty and fresh. The white post is where the water spicket was, yeah I filled that gallon water jug and my bicycle water bottles and many cooking pots worth of water that camping weekend with that Katadyn water filter system. Would I bring this system out a again! Yes. I might buy the smaller 1L bag one next time, but I like the convenience of 3L big bag to fill half way and then filter it. It gets old rescooping / refilling water into bag and then filtering water into my hiking or bicycle bottles. The water was fine to drink at Little Harbor Catalina Island, I just like that extra insurance bet of filtering and I needed to train and use my camping / bug out gear in the ops field not on couch or be one of them keyboard warriors. Field tested three days and approved, easy 10 gallons of water filtered with no issues in cold and windy environment. Fresh water / h2o. This filter system is something I have to carry, I see now clean water application. it's not a luxury no more. So might have make room for it in my other kits. l#katadyn #littleharborcampground #catalinaisland #bikecamping #waterfilter @thelocalbikestand.
