1000 pillar temple, Warangal, Telangana, is a Kakatiya era temple built in 1163 CE by Rudra Deva.

Built in later Chalukyan early Kakatiyan architecture on the star shaped platform, this Trikuta temple is dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Surya.
A masterpiece of architecture, the temple is replete with richly carved pillars, perforated screens, exquisite carvings, lathe-cut pillars and sculptures.
Managed by the Archaeological Survey of India, the temple provides a glimpse into the artistic finesse of the bygone era. .

Kedarnath tucked away in the lap of Garhwal Himalayas, is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. Lying against the backdrop of the magnificent Kedarnath Range, at an altitude of 3580 m, the splendid Kedarnath Temple is where the devotees come seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva. The temple is said to have been constructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century A.D. The nearby flowing Mandakini River, mesmerizing vistas and splendid sceneries in the form of the snow-clad mountains, rhododendron forests, and salubrious environment make Kedarnath a tranquil and picturesque place to be at.

Reposted from @hinduspirituality - Kedarnath is a 3000 old years lord Shiva Temple was built by the five Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata. 🌹Facts / Powers - 1☀) The Shrine Is Always Protected " The temple is always blessed with the omniscient presence of Lord Shiva who protects the Dham shrine diligently since the presiding deity is dedicated to him in the form of an irregular black shiv lingam. 🌴☀🌹This has been proven during the devastating 2013 unexpected Kedarnath flooding which had proved to be one of the most catastrophic devastations of the time. 🌸🍃The main Dham shrine was protected by a massive mountain boulder rock which had mysteriously wedged itself between the gushing flood water and the temple shrine, which did not allow the flood water to wipe out the temple completely. 🌻This boulder can still be found behind the temple where people worship it since it is also believed that Lord Shiva had sent this rock himself to protect the temple & the Nandi statue and the other idols in the temple are intact, 📍📌"In fact, those pilgrims who were in the temple during the tragedy also survived . 2☀) The Mysterious Akhand Jyoti (Eternal Fire) 🌹Kedarnath Dham remains closed off for Darshan for 6 months during winter when the entire region gets engulfed in snow and experiences extremely freezing temperatures, shutting down Yatra and expedition of the region. During this time the Kedarnath Dham temple remains lighted up from the inside with the help of an eternal flame or Akhand Jyoti which miraculously does not extinguish from the time the temple gates are closed for Darshan to the time of opening of the temple gates. This flame is considered to be extremely holy and pious since it does not extinguish until the temple opens ! Had a pleasant day wondering #delhi my favourite part to the day was visiting the #akshardam #hindutemple the highlight is of course the #mandir which is lavishly decorated with #goldmonument, adorned with crystals and gems with ornate peacock and elephant designs surrounded by beautiful #murtis of #hindugods including #rama #sita #laxmimata and including crystal chandelier. The complex was built by approximately 11,000 worshippers and inaugurated in 2005. Entry to Mandir is free but you have to pay for food and some exhibitions and even a prayer.

This complex is continuously improving as there appears to be building works underway on the holypond which normally surrounds the temple I think they may be building some more highly intricate and lavish water fountains.

If you are there still in the evening check out the watershow at 7.30 every evening. Everyone sits on the step wells and there is another large gold monument overlooking the show.

This temple is however closed on Mondays. There are also boat rides which come highly recommended but I did not have time for this on this occasion but has been highly recommended.

There is also food court in site.

I would definitely recommend a visit here if you plan on visiting Delhi.

Please note wear sandals or slipons as you do need to remove shoes to enter #Mandirs in India.

No photography allowed and you are not allowed mobile inside complex.

There is a photographer on site I think costs 30/40 Rupees.

As I was driving past I noticed a rather large shopping complex #parsvnathmall at Aksarhdam Metro Station so worth adding to itenerary if passing by also open 8am to 10pm. Similar to that of Intu/Westfield type malls.

Lithuanian kelias "a road, a way;" Old Norse hvel, Old English hweol "wheel". It is the hypothetical source of: Sanskrit cakram "circle, wheel," carati "he moves, wanders;" Avestan caraiti "applies himself," čaxra "chariot, wagon"; Greek kyklos "circle, wheel, any circular body, circular motion, cycle of events", polos "a round axis" etc.

The Chennakesava Temple, also referred to as Chennakeshava Temple, Keshava Temple or Kesava Temple, is a Vaishnava Hindu temple on the banks of River Kaveri at Somanathapura, Karnataka, India. The temple was consecrated in 1258 CE by Somanatha Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala King Narasimha III. It is located 38 kilometres (24 mi) east of Mysuru city.

The ornate temple is a model illustration of the Hoysala architecture. The temple is enclosed in a courtyard with a pillared corridor of small shrines (damaged). The main temple in the center is on a high star-shaped platform with three symmetrical sanctums (garbha-griha), set in a square matrix (89' x 89') oriented along the east-west and north-south axes.The western sanctum was for a statue of Kesava (missing), the northern sanctum of Janardhana and the southern sanctum of Venugopala, all forms of Vishnu.The sanctums share a common community hall (sabha-mandapa) with many pillars.
