This was supposed to post on Saturday night, but it’s just been giving me an error message, so I started over.

I’ve been spending a lot of time this week trying to figure out what I want my work life to look like— what the absolute dream all the dreams version of my best life is, and then also the bare bones minimalist version, where if I can at least have these 3 things, I’ll be happy with my achievements and can live without regrets. I’ve also brainstormed and fleshed out ideas for at least 5 intermediate versions, made an immediate plan of action and also a list of things I can do when I go back to California, found out information on the dance classes I want to take while I’m here and sent an email of inquiry to the one that’s a bit further away, decided that this is my 5 year plan, and then made and put up sigils around my apartment to help me remember what I want subconsciously as I go about my everyday life.
I’m so sleepy, but in that good I’ve-done-a-lot-and-deserve-to-let-my-brain-rest way. #sigils #everydaymagic

CLIENT TRANSFORMATION

Last November I had the pleasure of hopping on a call with Rumbie Chakona.

Rumbie came to me to end her yo-yo dieting and low carb diet. She wanted to completely change her lifestyle so she could permanently lose the weight and build lean muscle.

We set her up on a 12-Week plan to set new healthy habits and to forever change her mindset and relationship with food and herself.

12 weeks ago, Rumbie was 80kg.

Since then she has:
💪🏻 Lost 6kgs
💪🏻 Dropped 7.5cm around her waist
💪🏻 Dropped 9.5cm around her thighs
💪🏻 Dropped 8.6cm around her chest
🤗 Improved her confidence in herself in and outside the gym
🤗 Learnt the importance of sleep, time management, keeping active and macros
🤗 Staying accountable to herself
🤗 Setting goals and journalling
🤗 The power of self care and affirmations

I am so incredibly proud of Rumbie. She has been one of the best clients to work with - on time to our calls, always checks in with me, follows her plan and always challenges herself at the gym!

Rumbie was dead set on wanting to change her life. She was determined to create a new version of herself and wasn’t going to let herself down! She had freedom to go out with her friends, ate out and had a few drinks here and there. This is the difference between yo-yo dieting / binge eating / repeating the cycle and actually creating realistic sustainable habits towards a healthy lifestyle. You can’t completely cut everything out! You need a balanced life to socialise with friends, to have fun, for spontaneity, but still get enough sleep, move your body and nourish your body with the right foods!

This is a page from my quiet time this morning. Sometimes I find it way easier to “journal” by mind-mapping on a piece of paper instead of trying to organize my thoughts neatly in a pretty journal. I like to use different colored markers, but even those aren’t necessary, just use what you have on hand. It doesn’t need to be perfect. . . Start by writing a concept in the middle of the page (in this case I wrote “Breaking up with the hustle”), and just let the thoughts flow on the rest of page. This simple practice can help you find release, and it’s especially useful when you’re seeking closure. Ripping up the paper after (or even burning it 🔥) can be extremely freeing. . . 🧘🏻‍♀️I battled with my body for over 10 years. I know the struggle of failing to lose weight again and again as well as losing it and still feeling unsatisfied. I know what it’s like to be obsessed with food but get little pleasure from it. I remember how overwhelmed I used to feel about all of the food rules and pressure society outs on us to eat a certain way and workout a certain amount. ✌🏻Eventually I learned how to eat intuitively, move mindfully and treat myself with love and respect. ⠀
