A much needed get away took us away from the city lights to the beautiful Coromandel peninsula 🤙🏼 After a days worth of exploring many beautiful coastlines we arrived at our beachside cottage to be welcomed by a pod of bottlenose dolphins 🐬

Delish bowl of broccoli pesto, baby spinach, walnuts & sustainably caught smoked fish 🥦🌊 Lately I’ve been getting a lot of people asking exactly ‘how much’ I eat in a day. This concerns me as no one should be judging or basing what they eat based on what another person eats.
My diet and the amount I eat changes day to day, as should everyone’s. Mood, activity levels, hormones, social engagements, and immunity/current health are just a few factors that will effect the amount you should or feel like eating.
💁♀️Every one person is different so looking at how much/what other people are eating doesn’t necessarily give you any information about what you should be eating to maximise your personal health.
If you eat more than someone else or your plate looks different that doesn’t make you ‘greedy’ or ‘unhealthy’. Just as eating less than others doesn’t make you ‘healthier’.
🔢 Counting calories and relying on strict diet rules distorts what is an appropriate amount of food and encourages pride in eating very little. Not surprising so many young girls are losing their periods and feeling exhausted/moody at the end of the day. 🤙🏼I’d like to make it clear that I share food pics to inspire whole food OPTIONS and encourage creativity when it comes to leading a balanced lifestyle. Not for anyone to compare and contrast their own meals too. Trust your body and hunger cues to know what will satisfy and nourish you 💚
