Good morning!! 🌻🍂 If I could grant every woman one wish it would be for them to wake up and experience the joy of feeling their BEST!

Wake up full of energy, happy, lots of mental clarity, motivation to stay active, naturally drawn to nutritious foods, in shape, and oozing confidence... The thing is, this is how we are SUPPOSED to feel. Everyday.

Anything else is not living; it’s just surviving. It’s getting by. We’re meant to THRIVE. And it is possible. But no one else is going to create this for you, just like no one else is preventing you from stepping forward.

I’ve been there, but trust me; life has so much more to offer. So go ahead… take the first step. You got this!💕 DM or email me for support💌

I’m reading you are a badass by Jen Sincero and ready to start this week with gratitude after this Thanksgiving weekend💜🍂 Taking a moment to think about how privileged I am and how much I have to be grateful for. 🙏
-
I’m so thankful for the nutrient dense food that I have access to on a daily basis, I’m thankful for my health, for my family, my supportive partner, my circle of awesome people, my passion for what I do, the lessons I learn every day & for new opportunities 💝

How are you starting this week? And have you read you are a badass??

Hello October and hello to my 27th year!🍂🎈Yes, seasons change and so do we.
-
I use to hate when the season changed from summer to fall because it signified the end of summer and the coming of winter.❄️😩
-
Now I seem to enjoy the fall season, not only for my birthday☺️, but for its warm days, cool evenings, and colourful trees. Now I see it as the beginning of something new, not the end of something good. A shift. A change. Not only with the seasons but within me as well. And within our food, wildlife, nature, the lakes, the cosmos, everything around us.💫
-
We are all so connected and we should rejoice in the changes that the seasons carry us through together. It's a beautiful thing, this world. I’m choosing to flow with it as much as I can.💗🌬🍂

What do you love about fall??👇

What would your 90 year old self say to you right now?
-
Would he/she tell you to work harder at a job you hate, or stay with that partner who doesn’t respect you? Would he/she tell you it’s a good idea to live in stress, worry, or fear? To stay in your comfort zone and save big travels for when you’re retired?
-
Or
-
Would he/she say to relax, listen to your heart, and put yourself first. To take risks, try, “fail”, learn, love deeply, and grow because you only have this one opportunity now to experience the beauty of life in this body.
-
Would he/she empower you to see from a macro perspective and take everything in stride knowing that it all turns out better than you can imagine?
-
I think so!
-
Whenever you find yourself in a state of fear, self doubt, worry, anxiety, sadness, or anger.... ask yourself what kind of wisdom your oldest self would share with you.
-
Your higher self knows the answers. Trust the wisdom of your intuition and heart to guide you.

Ladies💗 This recipe is for you!!
-
Sometimes our cravings come from an actual need or deficiency. Ever wonder why you crave chocolate when you’re menstruating? The body is low in iron and magnesium which chocolate has in abundance! (cacao and dark chocolate that is - not the processed “chocolate like” products).🙅‍♀️
-
This dark chocolate almond hemp bark is super easy to make, super yummy, perfect for your sweet tooth cravings without all the added sugar and junk!👌
-
Good quality dark chocolate is my weakness.🙊😍 Do you love chocolate??

As the sun rises on a new day, take the time to ask yourself...
.
What is my greatest intention?
.
How do I want to feel?
.
Who do I want to connect with?
.
How will I care for my body?
.
How will I treat others?
.
How will I live on purpose more fully?
.
What is the one thing I want to accomplish that will help everything else fall into place with ease?
.
How will I give back and serve something greater than myself?
.
These questions help me to gain clarity on my priorities. Just a quick journaling session will reveal so much about what truly matters to my heart.💗
.
Keeping these answers front and center on my desk help me stay focused on the greater vision I am calling in and creating.✨
.
This simple self inquiry reminds me time and time again when I get trapped in my mind and lost in being busy for busy sake.
.
I invite you to take a moment to think about your answers to these questions, or better yet, write them down so they become more real. Even speak them out loud if you wish!
.
When we start each day with mindfulness and intention there is no limit to what we can create and manifest in our lives.🙌
.
How do you want to feel today? How will you structure your day to feel that way?☺️

Do you chew gum?? Sorry to tell you, but GUM is NOT your FRIEND. 🙅‍♀️If you're a frequent gum chewer chances are you will be more bloated and gassy than the average person.
-
When you chew gum, your brain thinks food is coming and signals the stomach to prepare for food to enter. You start producing digestive juices, including stomach acids and enzymes... But of course, you’re just chewing gum so no food actually enters into your stomach. You are tricking your body!🤷‍♀️
-
The result? You can deplete your digestive enzymes and lower your stomach acid, so that when you actually DO eat food, your digestive fire is low which results in digestive issues such as gas and bloating.🤰
-
A more serious side effect would be not absorbing the nutrients from your food due to low acid levels and enzymes.🤦‍♀️
-
Stop the bloat? Ditch the gum!🙋‍♀️

Explore your edges to discover your fullest potential.🌟

We are far more powerful than we can imagine and capable of creating the life we truly want to live.🔮 So listen closely to your body and heart, but continue to test your self-perceived limits and challenge yourself to look within. We can’t know and experience our fullest potential unless we are willing to do the inner work.💪
-
Releasing what has been suppressed, embracing our shadows, facing our fears, accepting ourselves exactly as we are, balancing our bodies, consuming healthful food, and harnessing the mind are all required for expansion in every aspect of life.🌎
-
Go beyond your self-perceived limits and see what opens up for you.🙌 How are you pushing your edge today? Is it physical, mental, emotional, spiritual?💗

I have been playing around with BALANCE lately. Feeling like I’ve finally found it, but knowing it can LEAVE and then RETURN again at any time. Not only on my mat but in my relationships, my diet, between nature and technology, and with thoughts and emotions. Not judging or pushing myself too hard and letting myself feel. Slowing down but becoming more productive. Getting clear on what it is that I want and staying on track.
-
Reminding myself that CONSISTENCY beats perfection. Every time. 💗

It’s the Sunday of a long weekend and I’m reminding myself that life is all about balance! Starting my day with a green smoothie and ending it with wine, or maybe Disaronno... sounds like balance to me!😉
-
Enjoy yourself this long weekend and when the weekend is over... just know that you don’t need another diet, workout, cleanse or pill. 🙅‍♀️ You are not an over eater, you are not a failure, you are not disordered, and you are definitely not broken. It’s all about BALANCE. Quit using those labels as an excuse to enable your weekend habits to linger into the work week. It’s OK to let loose and break routine. You CAN get back on track after a long weekend. And it’s not as hard as you think. All you need to do is reboot your ability to turn THOUGHT into ACTION.👍
-
Every unwanted behavior, EVERY SINGLE ONE: binging, restricting, hyper controlling, worrying, negative self talk... are merely bad habits that have spiraled out of control without correction. That’s it! If you want to correct it you CAN at any time. You are strong. You are capable. And you are BALANCED.💪💗🍷🌱🥃

I’m really bad at social media... it’s something I’ve been trying to find peace with for a while now. How do you guys find balance?🤷‍♀️
.
I’m sure some of you have noticed, I’ll be super engaged on here for like a week straight sharing posts and stories and chatting with you, then all of a sudden I disappear for 4 or 5 days.
.
I love how social media connects us all and I’m so happy for the people I’ve met through here, but the more I engage online the less I seem to engage in my daily life. Do you know what I mean? I feel like the more time I spend writing posts and taking photos and videos to share, the more time I spend on my phone and laptop, the more it pulls me out of the experience of living and being. I feel like I’m missing the moment.
.
For example, last night I was going to work and looked up at the moon and was captivated by its fullness and bright glow. I immediately wanted to reach for my phone and make an Instagram story reminding people to stop and appreciate the small things and to connect with nature... but how hypocritical. That very act would have pulled me out of that moment. So I decided not to share it and to just enjoy it myself. But then I get into the car and think, what if I did share it? That could have encouraged someone to to bring mindfulness and presence into their day.
.
So this is my struggle. Trying to be present on social media and trying to be present in my own life. So far I haven’t figured out a way to do both. I go back and forth between one and the other.
.
Trying to find balance. Isn’t that what we’re always doing? Subconsciously striving for homeostasis?
.

Child’s pose. With knees together, arms back along my sides and forehead on the mat. This is one of my favourite grounding poses. I often find myself here after a powerful practice and sometimes I even meditate here.💗
.
Give yourself permission to slow down today. Soften into a position that is comfortable for you and switch your phone off. In case you have a hard time calming your mind (I often do); here is a simple meditation that you can do right now, wherever you are...
Close your eyes. Now: count your breath, silently.
Inhale - 1. Exhale - 1. Inhale - 2. Exhale - 2. Inhale - 3. Exhale - 3.
Each cycle of breath is one count, same on the breath in and breath out.
Keep your breath slow and steady, letting your belly expand and contract with each cycle of breath.
When you get to 10, count in reverse until you’ve made your way back to 1. .
And here is the trick: if you lose count or forget what count or breath you are on... Begin again.
Inhale - 1. Exhale - 1.
If your mind is very busy it will take you a few minutes to become present enough to stay with the breath without letting your thoughts take you elsewhere.
With time and practice, every thought serves not as a distraction but as a simple and important reminder to return to the breath; to come back home.
.
It’s simple, but not easy. Sit in silence. Count your breath. Stay there. Try it.
🙏

Well... here I am. Here I am now. And now. And now. And now and now. 🧘‍♀️
.
I’ve been sitting a lot this week. In silence. More than I usually do. My partner is gone away up north for a few days so it’s oddly quiet around here. At first it felt strange with him gone but now I’m enjoying this time to sit. And be quiet. I’m taking more time to slow down. Move inward. 💗
.
This is my first week after 2 years of completing the holistic nutrition program with the Canadian school of natural nutrition. And I almost don’t know what to do with myself. It’s nice. But it’s also odd. I feel some weird energies around me and something shifting.💫
.
What I know now is that I don’t know what’s next. So... I journal. I set intentions and get clear about what I want. I sit in silence. And I trust that all the answers are already within me. 💗

Are you stuck? Stagnant? Feeling low on energy?🤷‍♀️
.
It’s probably because you’re not changing! We are meant to explore and evolve, it’s in our nature. So keep learning, trying new things, get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself - mind, body, and spirit!!💗
.
Our lives and current circumstances are the result of all the doors we have walked through, and our growth depends on our willingness to keep opening more. ✨

Here’s an addition to my previous post... another way I like to start my mornings: MATCHA!💚
.
1 cup of matcha = 10 cups of regularly brewed green tea in terms of nutritional content. 🌱 It's a superfood powerhouse! 💪 Matcha is ground up into a powder so when you drink it you consume the entire leaf and receive 100% of the nutrients of the plant.🌿
.
One of the major health benefits of matcha tea it's packed with antioxidants including the powerful EGCg. EGCg is the active catechin in matcha and it’s a very powerful antioxidant and free radical hunter making it difficult for cancer cells to multiply. One cup of matcha actually has 137 times the amount of EGCg compared to a conventional cup of green tea! 🙌
.
High quality matcha (and quality does matter!) will be grown in the shade which is why it's richer in blood cleansing chlorophyll, much more so than other green tea. Chlorophyll is a potent detoxifying compound.🍃
.
Matcha also helps the body to burn fat! It increases thermogenesis (the body's own rate of burning calories) and fat oxidation according to a study featured in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. In fact, it was demonstrated that exercising immediately after drinking matcha green tea resulted in 25% more fat burning during exercise! 🛠💪 AND matcha contains a very special amino acid called L-theanine which helps to relieve stress, lower blood pressure and counterbalance the effects of caffeine.☕️🍵
.
I personally love matcha because, unlike coffee, it provides me with more alertness and energy without the negative affects of the jitters or anxiety, and there's no crash!🤸‍♀️ You can expect sustained energy for at least 4 hours before it slowly wears off.👍
.
You can purchase matcha green tea from most health food stores or local tea shops such as @tealoungelondon 🍵💚🍵
