To Ice or Not to Ice - That is the Whisky Question:
Do you like to drink your whisky neat or on the rocks?
There are some whisky traditionalists who think adding ice is almost sacrilegious as they believe the ice will offend the whisky maker and hinder or dilute the whisky’s true full flavor.
While they may have a point with the word “dilution” not really being an attractive word when it comes to alcoholic beverages. No one wants a watered down drink but, the truth is the temperature and the water from the ice actually help bring out or “open up” new flavors and aromas.

Cheers to International Whisky Day! We are doing our usual celebration of, well...making whisky!
This international holiday was first declared on March 27th 2008 and celebrated in 2009 at a festival in the Netherlands! This day honors Michael Jackson (not the singer) a renowned author of many whisky books that have been written in his lifetime.
This day publicly supports Parkinson’s disease research in addition to enjoying whisky.
Hope you get to enjoy a dram at some point today!
