And I never felt more powerful, strong and independent as I did that moment when I realized I could do it all myself. But I also never felt more alone. What do they say about happiness? It's only real when shared or something like that...
What a crazy adventure I've been on in just the past 24 hrs... flight from Tel Aviv to Paris was delayed so I missed my flight back to Singapore and the airline won't take any responsibility for it... I got to spend an extra 24 hrs in Paris and booked a new flight for the next evening. After checking in and arriving at the gate I'm told the flight has been delayed... and then shortly after that Swiss Air booked me on Air India as a "solution" to the flight delay! So I'm sitting on my first Air India flight now and will have to spend 4 hrs at the airport in Delhi before heading to Singapore. My luggage with all the fromage et saucisson will only arrive 12 hrs after me... but I can't complain. I'm so happy to be moving forward to the next exciting chapter in my life... that ticket I booked out of Paris wasn't a one way ticket... :)
And we talked about all the things that matter in this world like family and love... I learned so much about your sons, your wife, and how there is no great secret to a long lasting marriage. It's just two people sticking by each other through it all.
I think I'll always remember the time I couldn't find the metro and ended up being driven to St Michel by a complete stranger but it was the wrong place with no fountain in sight... so you had to come find me. We drank French wine and ate French food along the river Seine sitting on this bench facing the Notre-Dame because that is what Parisians do... and now I can say I did it too.
