So I have certain “curls” that don’t curl, but yet aren’t straight either. I guess it’s just some weird mesh of curly/wavy. But I’m sure I’m not the only person with curly hair who has those random “curls” that decide they just don’t want to act right. Well as a remedy to this common problem I find that manipulating it to do what you want works quite well (with the right products of course!) But in all honesty anything gel based will do the trick. —————————————————
✨I start off with completely wet hair. Curls are always easiest to work with when they’re dripping wet. ✨Next you’ll want to evenly distribute your favorite leave in conditioner all throughout your hair making sure that everywhere is covered.
✨Now that all of your hair has product in it, it should be easier to spot those rebellious curls that prefer to do their own thing. I say it’s easier to spot this way, because sometimes once there is product in your hair, it should cause the majority of your hair have a nice slip and create spirals. If this is not the case, my recommendation is to use a different leave in/Curl cream.
✨Now it’s time to get those other curls that don’t actually curl to fall in line! ✨In this video I used @carolsdaughter #pracaxinectar styling gel. I stick with carols daughter products for the most part because they provide the right amount of hold without leaving my hair crunchy AND without leaving buildup. So for me it’s a win win. However as I mentioned earlier, using any gel based product can do the trick just make sure you use one that meets your needs. ✨You pretty much need to take a small bit and twirl that stubborn curl around your finger again and again until it achieves the spiral finish that you’re looking for. I’m going for that extra curly look so I’m just gonna go in and distribute it all over my ends. ✨Finally, I like to go in with Castor Oil just to ensure that I give those stubborn not so curly curls extra love by spiraling them with the oil. For those of you who don’t know, this oil is very sticky which helps keep the curl even once your hair dries. ⚠️ To avoid frizz it’s important to leave curls alone while they dry ⚠️
