Hi Guys! I thought that I would take the time to properly introduce myself. My name is Trish and I live just outside of Toronto (Canada) with my husband, 2 kids and our fur baby. Growing up I always loved to draw and make things. Between my family and my day job, I don’t get a lot of time to paint and cherish every moment that I get! Painting is a joy and a bit like meditation for me. Time stands still and all thoughts and worries disappear. It’s just me and my paints and hours fly by like minutes 😊. Thank you so much for taking an interest in my art and all of the kind words and support, they mean the world to me! All the best, Trish

Fluid art is tricky business! Everyone can do it but, getting consistent results is a challenge. Here are my top 5 tips to better results: 1. I prefer thicker paint. It flows easily but, is not watery. This helps prevent the colours from getting muddy and helps with control while tipping. 2. Don’t leave too much paint on the canvas. If you do, it will continue to drip off the sides and will distort either the composition or the cells, or both. 3. Make sure you have a level drying surface! 4. Don’t overwork it. A few touch ups immediately after are usually fine but, after then it seems to just go downhill. 5. If you use silicone, which you don’t need to for pretty results, use it sparingly. Too much makes the paint pit, exposing the canvas, eliminates any negative space and can create unattractive cells. A couple drops per colour and not necessarily all of the colours is more than enough. I hope this helps, happy pouring 😁

It took 3 days to dry and here she is!! ‘Rise Above’, acrylic on canvas, 36” x 48”. A beautiful combination of Mauves, rose gold, gold, Navy and white.

This is the biggest one I’ve painted so far (36” x 48”) AND the first one I’ve painted for myself....and I love it!!! Keep your fingers crossed that my canvas is level and it dries this way!! 😍
