Some last shots of Sarajevo ... a beautiful, friendly city. I will always remember waking up to and listening to the Call for Prayer and the Church Bells in the mornings ... sometimes at the same time. Different faiths can get along ❤️
During the Siege of Sarajevo, people were buried throughout the city, in parks, in the football field, wherever there was some free space. These markers are in the park and people relax and picnic around them. The cemeteries contain graves of people from different faiths. There isn’t a Muslim cemetery, a Catholic cemetery, etc. They are together. 💕
One of the videos I saw in Srebrenica was of Ramo Osmanović calling his son Nermin. Ramo was forced to call out to his son and the other men hiding in the hills that the Serbian soldiers wouldn’t hurt them. It hurt my heart to listen to him. I saw this statue today in a park in Sarajevo. 💕 Google and watch the video 😢 Both Ramo and Nermin were found in a mass grave.
