Since my career and lifestyle changed, I'm really trying to invest on my self care, try to slow down the pace and just enjoy little moments. Somedays it works, some doesn't. But I suppose investing on your self care is all about changing habits right? .
How easy is to change these habits though? There are two things that really bug me with my own habits, and I know if I could change them I would feel so much better about myself. .
The first one is digital dependency. Call it, work, curiosity, FOMO or even boredom. It really bugs me how much glued I am on my screen every day of the week. So I decided to change that with little steps, every Sunday will be my digital free day. Meaning no internet, no social media, no insta stories, no emails. Kind of digital detox. So if you caught me around here on Sunday I give you permission to tell me off! 🙄
The second one is breakfast and morning routine. I think that comes from my working in London days, always rushing, not having time to have a routine really, just coffee on the go and maybe a cereal bar on the train. But now I have the time to have a routine, I'm really struggling. To add to this, I'm not a morning person, meaning in the mornings I am a bear. Usually I wake up have a coffee, shower and then straight on my computer. Around 10:30 I feel hungry so I come downstairs and grab whatever is available in the house. So I need your help on this! What is your morning routine? How do you cope with mornings? Any advice or ideas will be most welcome. H E L P !
