2018 was a year of ups and downs. For myself it was a year of positive changes that was met with equally difficult challenges; but man did it end with a bang! I made the move to Nashville and have loved every second of it thus far. Now when I drive past that skyline, with Nissan stadium at the forefront, I start to feel a sense of pride in this city I now call home. Cheers to new beginnings and I hope everyone’s 2019 is off to a great start! @rubyvanzandt among the giant redwood trees of Northern California.

Not only is he handsome, talented, a heck of a nice guy and what I picture white Jesus to look like, he also gives me guitar lessons which means he has an incredible amount of patience. Oh and he makes stunningly beautiful hand made ukuleles, check em out @joshuawasham

Fond memories of my time in Oregon...even though this is in Washington🤷♂️
You can gaze out the window get mad and get madder, throw your hands in the air, say "What does it matter?" but it don't do no good to get angry, so help me I know • For a heart stained in anger grows weak and grows bitter. You become your own prisoner as you watch yourself sit there wrapped up in a trap of your very own chain of sorrow. • I been brought down to zero, pulled out and put back there. I sat on a park bench, kissed the girl with the black hair and my head shouted down to my heart “You better look out below!” • Hey, it ain't such a long drop don't stammer don't stutter from the diamonds in the sidewalk to the dirt in the gutter and you carry those bruises to remind you wherever you go. - @john_prine • I recently had the opportunity to meet John Prine here in Nashville and since he was originally from Chicago I asked him what his favorite place to get deep dish pizza was. He said he didn’t really care for it but UNO’s was probably his favorite. I respectfully disagreed as everyone knows @loumalnatis is the best in Chicago😉
Since the Camp Fire erupted November 8 in Butte County, it has killed 77 people, destroyed more than 10,500 homes and torched an area the size of Chicago. Across California, at least 80 people have died in wildfires this month. The Camp Fire is already the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history, and as of today 993 people are still unaccounted for. While hundreds of families wait to learn the fate of missing loved ones, officials have a grim forecast: it's not even halfway done burning yet. • My thoughts are with all those affected by this terrible tragedy. • Photo taken in August during the last wildfires in California.
Swipe 👉 to see the madness that is sunrise at Mesa Arch. • I was driving across the country for the second time in 2 months and this time was determined to take my time and get some shots in Southern Utah in some of my favorite national parks. • I had been to Canyonlands before but never Mesa Arch, and after seeing some of @peterlik work there many years ago I had always wanted to capture the iconic arch. • So I drove through the night, arrived 40 minutes before sunrise, grabbed my gear and hiked out to the arch. I get there to find this crowd all standing shoulder to shoulder, elbows out, and many with cell phones. So I do my best to find a spot I can set up my tripod - no real luck. So when the sun was finally where I wanted it I just kinda politely forced my way to the front and shot this handheld. Right after that I thought the more interesting subject was the craziness that was taking place just to get a photograph. • It was cool to finally see it and get a shot I’m happy with, but you won’t be finding me back there anytime soon - no photo is worth an anxiety attack😂
Swipe 👉 to see the haircut I gave Kaston💇🏻♂️
Who’s hiked this before?
Why in the night sky are the lights hung? Why is the Earth moving 'round the sun? Floating in the vacuum with no purpose, not a one Why in the night sky are the lights hung? - @fleetfoxes
Wishing @derekwcurtis all the best as he makes the move back to the NE. Might have teared up a little as he played his last house show (as a resident that is) at the Mad Valley on Saturday. It’s been a pleasure getting to know this man over the past couple years; he’s a true gem and Nashville is gonna miss you, bud!
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality. -Desmond Tutu • Please vote this election🙏
Sometimes in life all you can do is keep moving forward. It might not all make sense in the moment, but as long as you keep following your intuition, eventually things start to come into focus. Just keep moving forward❤️
Had a blast shooting with the very talented @emmalynnwhite yesterday
As political ads start popping up more and more on my feed, I’ve started reporting them all as misleading or a scam. Sorry @sentedcruz you’re not getting any of my money. None of that has anything to do with Bryce Canyon, I just never know what to say in these captions.🤷♂️
