Earlier this year I was blessed to make it into the final round of casting with @__eberesneva and @rockinraw (both of which I am a fan girl over) for @foodnetwork #greatfoodtruckrace I realized in prepping for it I needed to create a Mac and Cheese from ingredients in the standard American grocery store (i.e. no nooch or miso) so I went to it! The Vegan Roadie was created by me, Dustin Harder, in 2014 to bridge the gap between vegans and non vegans with entertaining, non judgmental and engaging content.
Who is ME?! I’m Dustin, a drop out of @amdaofficial and graduate of @naturalgourmetinstitute. I have played in this life as an actor, waiter, personal assistant, receptionist, writer, host, chef, animal trainer and lovah who prefers a quiet night under the stars over a walk on the beach with my fiancé @drossetti, but I’ll happily accept either when time allows.
I read self help books and autobiographies and consider them to be of equal self growth value.
I am currently pushing my first cookbook #thesimplyvegancookbook (link in profile 😜) while writing my second cookbook #epicvegan (coming summer 2019) as well as planning a wedding 🎩 🎩 and navigating my path as a recovering alcoholic ... I fit in yoga where I can, I’m only one man.
I’m based in NYC, Queens to be exact. I test recipes out of the smallest kitchen one should ever test recipes out of.
I’ve been to all of the 50 states, several more than once, driving cross country over a dozen times and around the country twice.
I go to concerts. Whenever I can.
I’m also the co-daddy to the bestest 18 year old cat in the world, Muzzy.
