It’s all about the DIORtails (kind of a stretch but J’aDIOR!) 💁🏻♀️👗👠👜 such a fascinating exhibit on fashion! Photo creds to the best creative director: @steffiemaxwell
One more for the ROAD 🌈🏡🌊☀️vibrant colored homes line the streets leading to the sea. Historically, many coastal cities were fishing villages and used excess boat paint to paint their homes. Another reason for the bright paint, particularly in warm places was often to reflect the sun #sealavie
LEM🍋N life to the fullest 🌊 (there are 🍋s on my 👗 and 👛)
HOLEy SEAnery! 🕳🌊 A sea arch near Castries (the capital) likely formed from erosion of softer rock than the rest of the arch. Unlike many Caribbean islands which are flat, St. Lucia’s volcanic, mountainous geography makes the island more naturally protected from hurricanes, and also provides a variety of scenery like this one (we loved sailing through it so much we made the captain do it twice lol) #geologyrocks
Got dirt on my face and I’m not MUD about it 😺😸😹 Sulphur Springs in St. Lucia is the world's only drive in 🌋 and is located near Soufrière (a French world Sulfur). They say that the mud has healing properties - I just felt a little softer skin, a good laugh, and a fun experience 😆
I still don’t understand how Gros Piton is actually taller than Petit Piton (see pic from a couple days ago, Gros is the one on the right) I think it’s an optical illusion 💫🏞🏝 Je ne comprends pas 🤷🏻♀️🤯
Surrounded by good comPEONY 🌸🌺
Cheers to a high CALIBER 2019 and starting it off with a BANG 🧨💥 💨 St. Lucia has been ruled/controlled between France and England 14 times (the two countries were constantly at war with each other). There are 60 forts in Castries harbor alone!
Back in the city but staying ICEolated from the crowds! ❄️💎 One of my favorite architectural areas of Oslo, with the beautiful and modern Oslo Opera House and Ballet 🎭🎼
Last night’s sunset was CIRRIUS 💖❤️🧡💛💙🌤 Norway has the best winter sunsets 🌇 leaving for a vinter hytte (winter cabin/house) today (which is also called second Christmas Day). It will be my first experience at a winter hytte. Hytte and the things related to hytte are a very intricate and interesting part of Norwegian culture.
