This is the first photo I have taken of Fritz in probably two years. I don’t handle him much because he makes some pretty elaborate web tunnels that I don’t want to disturb. He molted the other day so I figured that was a good excuse to clean his enclosure and hang out with him for a few minutes. I wish he was this metallic all the time!
Easter ate 1 lil hornworm and 4 lil dubia roaches. She wouldn’t eat unless she was tong fed which is weird bc she’s terrified of handling. ?? Oh well, we’ll figure her out. Also she is obsessed with her humid hide
This little cutie is the female leopard gecko I picked up today at the reptile expo in STL. I’ve had my heart set on a little orange geck and she was perfect. Her name is Easter bc she reminds me of it 💕💕 Last pic is her escaping into her humid hide lol. I’m going to give her time to settle in then get some better pics but I luv her
This is Wanda, a ball python I rescued from Craigslist a couple months back. I was searching for animals that needed help and contacted the owner as soon as I saw her. She was being kept in a bare tank with no bedding and no hide. She was a poor excuse of a snake- severely underweight, dehydrated, old shed, and with a severe jaw deformity. The owners couldn’t give me a clear answer as to what happened but it appears it might be an old break, according to X-rays we did. She has been through antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatments with me that don’t seem to have done much for her jaw, however, she’s not in any pain and has an amazing appetite. She has gained a lot, shed her old skin, and is feeling great! She has a potential adopter in contact with me now. Scroll to see pictures of the night I got her and the Craigslist ad. I love a good before/after ❤️❤️
A few months ago I put together new enclosures for the geckos with hides sealed/built into the background. This means they can hide and sleep all day long without fear of being bothered which makes me happy. I usually don’t ever see them until I’m headed to bed that’s fine bc I’m just glad they hug my thumb every once in a while !
