Book week 🤪 who ever came up with this little gem is clearly not a working parent that needs to drive an hour in traffic be at work at 8am. .
Hermione and Ninja boy finally made it to kinder after many last minute costume changes and some tears.**Disclaimer: he tears were mostly mine** 😂😂
On a positive note - I picked up these costumes for just $10 each from The Reject Shop #winning .

I have noticed lately social media is just a bit gross. In the past week, I have copped a lot from sharing a pro vaccine post and so did some of my followers who had commented on this post. These comments won't stop me from sharing my opinion, but some people have gone way too far with their comments and DM's to me. I have also seen other bloggers being trolled about their looks, the sponsored content that they share or how they are parenting. Everywhere I look people looking to tear each other down and it's not ok! .
I completely understand everyone is entitled to an opinion, but being rude or making an absolutely disgusting comment shouldn't be tolerated. You should never type anything that you wouldn't say to someone if you met them face to face. Unfortunately, a lot of trolls love to hide behind a keyboard knowing they will never have to face the people they harass. .
There is always going to be negative people in this world but I think we should make more of an effort to block these people, silence them and spread more love. Pump each other up and support one another. Be happy for each others achievements, tell people one thing you like about them or that they are doing a good job. .
I have tagged some people who inspire me on here and some who I know have had a rough week. Feel free to tag anyone below and let them know they are the bomb 💣 ❤ #dontbeadick#spreadlove
The age old dishwasher battle. It's after dinner and in households all around Australia (and probably the world) people are stacking their dishwashers. Then someone else in the house is probably restacking the dishwasher the 'correct' way. .
People see me as the organised one in my household, they assume that I would be the dishwasher sergeant who re organises everything after my husband puts the dishes in. The truth is I am actually a free spirited, I fly by the seat of my pants 🤫 I fling things in willy nilly and have no care for how it's organised. I basically close the door and hope for the best. Anything that isn't completely clean gets a bonus round 🤣 Naturally this infuriates my husband.
Hubby was very relieved when we switched to Finish Quantum Ultimate (recommended by Choice). It manages to clean all the grease and stuck on food off our dishes no matter how they are thrown into the dishwasher. He no longer has to worry about how I stack the dishes and I don't have to listen to him huffing and puffing about how the dishes aren't clean because of me 😂 it's win win! Do you have a dishwasher debate in your house? Are you the organised stacker or free spirited like me?? #FinishQuantumUltimate#Sponsored

Tonight I got the 'Honey I'm going to be late home' phone call. The phone call that I get a lot of nights and the call that sends shivers down my spine. .
This call means I have to do childcare pick up, which involves me bribing my children to leave the childcare centre that I had to bribe them to go to at 7am that morning 🤔 It means that I carry everything inside like a pack horse while the kids run inside and kick their shoes off that are full of sand😱😱. Oh and I have to forget having a second for a toilet stop after driving in traffic. If I'm solo after work I have a cheer squad who are chatting and cheering me on. I then have to race around organise dinner while the kids either fight with each other or try their best to torment me and the dog. After dinner it's time for a quick bath which normally involves more fighting or someone tipping water all over the floor, then quiet time and bed. .
Hubby will probably stroll in just after I have finished the bath. Look at the mess, make a comment about the sand on the floor and then ask what's for dinner.Right when everyone is exhausted, all clean/cuddly and sick of fighting. .
How's your evening going? 😂😂😂 I tell you what.....even though I do the childcare pick ups and drop offs everyday. Just having the extra pair of hands around at dinner really helps. I take my hat off to all the single parents and parents who's partners work away a lot 👊

Yep, I complain about how hard or busy being a mum is, but today was a good day. You know, one of those days where everyone just got along. Nothing extraordinary happened and it wasn't overly exciting but we all just sat back and got on with it. .
We went out, watched movies, the kids had karate and we snuggled on the couch before bedtime. .
Often people see my posts about tantrums, working parent problems and struggles and say 'Oh no, is this what I have to look forward to' and well, I'm not going to lie......... tantrums are part of the deal, but so are these lovely moments and beautiful days. Parenting doesn't get harder, it just brings different challenges, new worries and most of all the opportunity to make wonderful memories. So, don't sweat the small stuff, don't stress and just take each day as it comes. As clichè as it sounds, cherish every moment (even the shit ones), they go by so fast ❤
We had a really fun morning at @themessyshedbalwyn. Hudson and Scarlett love craft and messy play. This place is perfect to get it out of their system and the best part is your house stays clean 👌 Great for a play , a catch up with friends or birthday party.

Immunisations 💉😳 It's not a cute, fun or sexy subject. When you're a new parent you dread the thought of anyone jabbing your little baby. But the truth is, those jabs help prevent a lot of diseases and prevent your child and other people from getting sick. .
I'm not up for a debate and I don't want 1 million negative comments. What I do want to do is remind you that your childs vaccinations may be due?
As our babies grow, life gets busy and some parents relax a little about immunisations. The 12, 18 month and 4-year-old shots are just as important as the baby ones so they shouldn't be missed. Did you know? Nearly 95% of parents in Melbourne’s north and west are fully immunising their newborns, but this drops to just over 90% for the vaccines given between 12 to 18 months. It could be because parents are back at work etc, but really, it's at this point when children start childcare and kinder that immunisations are really important. Head to the blog for more info (link in bio) or check out @immunisemelbourne ✌
@myuna_farm not far from the city and loads of fun. The kids can pat animals, feed them and pony rides are only $3. Such a great place for a day out or a birthday party. There is also a playground and cafè on site.

Deep in thought? Pondering life? Nope just taking a deep breath and trying to find the answers as to why my kids are driving me up the wall this week......Hey Wonder Weeks how about you update the app so that takes us up to 16 years old. That way we can tell when these complex little people are having a stormy period and not just be blindsided by wild emotions and tantrums. .
Currently, I have Scarlett who is 3. She is wanting to be a big girl. Doesn't want to listen and apparently knows everything 🙄 She is going through a picky eating stage, where she really only wants milk, hot chips or plain pasta. Oh and as an extra treat she is incredibly demanding. If I don't respond within 0.2 seconds to her requests she nags like crazy. I have tried explaining to her that sometimes I'm busy but she doesn't care. How do I teach her to be patient without losing my shit 🤔 .
Then there is Hudson, 5 years old and stuck between pre school and being a big school boy. Sometimes he is moving ahead in leaps and bounds and other days I feel like he is missing being a little boy. He can be so lovely and patient but this week he has been incredibly emotional over nothing. He also interrupts me anytime I open my mouth to speak to another adult. Again, I have tried explaining that he needs to say 'excuse me' and I even tried the thing where he puts his hand on my arm when he wants to talk, so he doesn't interrupt (I read it on Facebook somewhere sounded good in theory......doesn't work in real life) 😞 .
They are also fighting like crazy everytime I turn my back and seem to be just loving tormenting each other (and me) more than normal. WTF has happened? Was it the moon? Is it just their ages? Please tell me it's a phase and all will be back to normal next week......please. Otherwise, send wine 😂😂😂
Taco Thursday??? 🤔 You all asked for it. My slow cooked Mexican beef recipe is on the blog now (link in bio). I agree, 7am is probably a little early to be thinking about dinner. But this is an easy slow cooked recipe that you can simply set and forget. You will return 6 hours later and dinner will be pretty much ready to go 🌮🌯🥙 So why not pop it on this morning and have it for dinner tonight.
Scarlett got one of those little magazines for kids.....you know the ones with a little toy that are a complete rip off. However, they are strategically placed at at all checkouts so your kids ask for them and you may buy one in a moment of weakness **Disclaimer - don't ever give in and buy one, these are gateway magazines 🤣 The kids will always chase the high from their 1st magazine and before you know it, you will be stuck buying them forever (like me) 🙈** .
Anyway, Scarlett was flicking through hers on the couch tonight and saw a picture of the blood moon, she asked about it and I told her it was last weekend. She followed it up by saying 'Oh, like the photos on your phone'. 'Yes' I replied, feeling proud that she remembered me telling her about it and showing her the photos. She then followed with, 'but your photos look crap' 😳 Big talk for someone with a fake Elsa camera 🤨 #harshcritic#myphotoswereabitcrap
