The dark circles under my eyes are only 50% make up 🤣 .
We checked out @hauntvillemelbourne this afternoon and it sure was scary. Hudson absolutely loved it and went in the kids haunted house twice. Scarlett wasn't so sure but still had a ball running around and watching all the spooky characters. .
I tried to go in the adult haunted house and bailed within 2 minutes (leaving @caraegan_ to fend for herself - sorry 🙈).
A great way to get into the spirit of Halloween, my only advice is if you have little ones 4 and under make sure you have someone with you as they might not want to go into everything. Perfect for a date night #thereisabar 👻👻👻
Hudson is off to school next year and he is so ready. He is wanting to learn to read and has a lot of questions about absolutely everything. We have been doing different activities to keep him busy but I have noticed so many pre school activities are all about letters and writing. .
Recently, I discovered @numberdoctors, it's a handy little kit and 10 week online course that encourages fun with maths at home. It's perfect for children anywhere from 4-6 years old (Scarlett has been joining in too). When the course is finished you can keep the kit for practice and games at home. A great fun way to get kids interested in numbers! Oh and it's created by parents (parents who have phd's) so you know it's going to be good.
I want my daughter to understand that in this life she can achieve anything, I want her to be proud of her achievements and I want her to be able to admire another's beauty without questioning her own. .
I am loving that @oobi have launched a new collaboration with @theprettyfoundation that aims to help young girls develop body confidence, and consists of a series of patterns that have underlying messages of body acceptance and love. 100% of profits from the collection will be donated to Pretty Foundation, to continue their body positivity initiative. .
If you would like to purchase any of these items and support this amazing cause you can use the code PF15 at checkout to get 15% off the Pretty Foundation collection (how cute is Scarlett's skirt 😍) #gifted#collab

I have the flu and not like the flu when my husband gets it. I went to the Dr and she said the words 'you have the flu'. I'm aching, snotty, have a headache that feels like I have been out drinking for the past week and I'm constantly sweating. .
Do you think anyone in this family cares? The people closest to me who I consistantly look after all day everyday 🤔. .
When they are sick there is rest, cuddles, warm drinks, blankets, movies on the couch and heat packs. For me, no one bats an eyelid. The kids say they care but have made a game of waking me up if I am trying to rest 🙄 and yesterday Hudson told me I look like I need a shower 😂 but they are only little and can be forgiven. However, don't even get me started on my husband. Apparently he has hurt his neck, and while I have a little bit of sympathy. It's not exactly what I wanted to hear when he strolled in the door (late) after work last night. He has had a sore arm for a few weeks and had some moles cut out so, he has had his fair share of sympathy from me recently. .
Last night, he spent his time moaning every time he moved, was using the heat packs and asked me to massge his neck on multiple occasions 😳 Ummm mate this isn't Australian Idol, we're not competing with each other. I get that you might have a sore neck but for once, just once.....leave it (and maybe make me a cup of tea). Does this happen to everyone??
October is Breast Cancer Awreness month. It’s time to fund more research, education and medical services that bring us closer to a cure, and give patients all over the world more time to live better, healthier lives. @esteelaudercompanies Breast Cancer Campaign is releasing a powerful video series titled, “Seconds Matter.” The moment someone is diagnosed with breast cancer is the moment that life changes. Time slows down. These moments are challenging, beautiful and real.
Every 19 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. This just highlights that time is precious, finite and can’t be bought. Your life could change in an instant. Virtually everyone, regardless of country, age, lifestyle or values, continues to be affected by this disease that knows no boundaries. I thought getting out of the house and to work on time was hard when the kids were babies. Currently it seems that it is getting harder every day. Now they are older they have more requests and new delay tactics 🙈 .
Today, Scarlett was just too cold to get dressed. She wanted nothing to do with her clothes. I offered to take her to childcare in her jammies that resulted in tears. In the end I bribed her with 3 jelly beans and she was happy (you gotta do whatever works people). .
Hudson took forever to get dressed and then was having a grand old time singing and dancing in the bathroom instead of putting his damn shoes on 🤨 We got to the car and I was slammed with a heap of 5 year old questions that just seemed too hard before 7am...... some of todays questions included 'why do we call pipes, pipes and not tubes when they are actually tubes' and 'why do we have eyebrows and toenails??' 😳 .
Finally, I was so flustered after all the kisses and goodbye hugs at childcare. I was on auto pilot and accidentally told one of the childcare educators that I loved her and to have a good day 😂😂 .
Now I sit at work completely exhausted and ready for a nap 😴😴😴
'Ready for action Ryder Sir'. This morning we went to see the brand new @pawpatrol movie and it got glowing reviews from both Hudson and Scarlett. In cinema's this Thursday (4th October) and perfect for little ones because it's only 45 minutes long #pawpatrolau#mightypups
Summer is coming and I am loving the crap out of my new sunnies thanks to @mvmtforher. They sit perfect and don't leave marks on your face where make up used to be. Use your code themummycode15 at checkout for $15 off all purchases.
Hands up if you're here for the wine 🙌. .
TBH I don't really care about the game and the kids think Hawks are winners no matter what 🤣 What are your plans for today? We're off to a BBQ with some friends 🥂 .
Hope you all have a wonderful Grand Final Day! Stay safe, have fun and don't drink and drive 😘😘
Today we went to @jurassiccreatures_. Once I confirmed with Scarlett that the dinosaurs weren't actually real (see 2nd pic where she isn't sure 🤣) everyone had a ball. There is some amazing life like dinosaurs, craft, fossil digging, 3 different jumping castles and dinosaur riding. .
Lot's of fun for everyone 🦖🦕 My only words of advice are if you're going with little ones (3 and under) remind them on the way there that the dinosaurs aren't real so they don't get scared. Oh and pack an umbrella or ponchos 🙈 because we all know Melbourne weather is not predictable.
