Stocked with alcohol and water/food - A piece of civilization in the middle of nowhere. When I mean this is the middle of NOWHERE, I mean it! It took rock crawling for 30 minutes through the mojave to find this fully stocked party cabin. It used to be a foundation for the miners to cook food but now it was rehabilitated to shelter those stranded in the desert about to meet death. VERY COOL!!!
"Working Stope" climbing into these old mining stopes is always a treat. Miners would chase ore above existing haulage tunnels and some had very interesting crawl spaces like the one shown. We found massive veins of high grade "Chrysocolla". I will not name this mine to protect the precious metals and artifacts hiding scattered amongst it's drifts.
Went rock crawling through a gnarly Jeep killer trail. And saw some historic areas in this portion of the desert. The amount of abandoned cars, houses and random artifacts is truly staggering!! Kind of hard not to have fun out here 😜
"Mine in the Sky" a Tungsten GIANT.
The caverns are so massive in this mine you could fit the WORLD TRADE CENTER inside with room to spare!!! If it wasn't illegal to enter, I would explore this place in a heartbeat. But the Government wants a solution with reclamation of land.
