I may not have ticked off all my wish list this week, but I sure did find some beautiful places! This is Campuhan Twin waterfall in the Gitgit canyon area. Gitgit itself was entirely over commercialised with bamboo platforms erected at every angle in front of the falls- making it impossible to get a photo without any man made structures 🀦 This made me sad... luckily there was this beauty for me to swim under and take piccies of 😍

T O D A Y...... is a new day! The fact that I am here with all my limbs at the airport to fly home is not lost on me this morning! ❀.
.
So, with the help of some codeine for the pain and ibuprofen for the swelling I am hobbling through Ngurah Rai Airport with a smile on my face 😊.
.
I paid it forward by leaving my extra rupiah with my taxi driver, and seeing the smile on his face- I wondered why I dont always do this when leaving a foreign country!? I sure will be now!.

I had a really bad day today. Even through my impatience, snappiness and yes even the tears- I am so happy to say people are so genuinely good!.

I bit off way more than I could chew, and after summiting Mt Batur this morning I set my sights on a big detour to pura lempunyang on my way back to seminyak. Well, Google took me and my scooter way up some mountain roads that turned into boulder filled dirt tracks. I somehow managed to survive these steep, hellish turns bouyed by the smiles and shouts of hello from all the school kids walking along. Just as the road cleared up, and at a cautious speed of approx 4kms per hour- my back wheel flilped out from under me and i found my self on the ground squashed under my scooter 😣.
.
A sweet man literally sprinted up the hill to help me, and with no English at all, did his best to make sure I was alright. Too proud to admit defeat I said my Terima kasih maybe too forcibly before taking off down the hill. Thank you kind man, I am sorry I didnt express this more sincerely at the time πŸ™.
.
It was a solid 10 minutes before I had the balls/felt like no one would see me pull over and inspect my wounds. Gravel rash and swelling down my knee and deeper, angrier wounds on my ankle and foot where I had been pinned down.
.
I gave myself a rinse and continued on, only to run into the next hurdle from google. The right turn they suggested was an actual goat trail. A GOAT TRAIL. Theres not even goats in Indo! 🀦. I continued to the North- the only actual option, and much further away from my destination than Id have liked.
.
When i finally made it to the main coastal road I couldve kissed the beautiful smooth bitumen surface I was SO happy.
.
Cue next hurdle, not realising my Indonesian data was about to run out. No data= No maps! I missed the turn off to the temple, and by the time I realised I had travelled about 45 minutes west- when i needed to travel south EAST after the temple. So not only did I miss THE ONLY REASON I WAS ON THE GOD FORSAKEN MOUNTAIN BOULDER ROAD, but I had also travelled 45 more minutes further from home.

Why are Waterfalls so damn peaceful you ask?! Well, water has the capacity to receive, hold and clear the energy that surrounds it. This is one reason that a swim under a waterfall is so refreshing and grounding πŸ‘Œ.
.
Another fun fact is that the air around waterfalls, can contain anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000 negative ions per cubic centimetre. Why are negative ions important? Scientists believe negatively charged ions cause the brain to produce more seratonin!.

So! Whats the verdict on my ONE photo from Nungnung waterfall guys? πŸ™„

Youre looking at the Khumbu Icefall, the most dangerous part of the Everest climb. It moves up to 1m each day changing the climb drastically for each of the many acclimatization ascents a climber must make. Unfortunately we couldn't hear much of its roar due to the high number of trekkers at base camp overshadowing the noise. Go to base camp soon guys- andgo in shoudler seasons as the trail can be MADNESS!

Prayer flags carry prayers and affirmations on the wind. A constant sight throughout the Himalayas in Nepal, Tibet, and India. Also referred to as Lung ta or wind horses, which symbolize a speedy transformation of bad fortunes πŸ‘Œ.

Gotta love a token prayer flag shot 😍

Think about what dreams seem unattainable. Then ask yourself why you feel that way? What of those perceived limitations are real, and which are only in your head?.
.
From changing your diet, to climbing a mountain, to general self care- whatever you are struggling with or dreaming of. What is actually stopping you from achieving those things? Our mindsets can be so limiting. But we ARE capable of so much! YOU are capable of so much!
.
Train your mind and you would be SO surprised at what you can achieve.

Look what they've done! The Earth cried to the Moon.
They've turned me into one entire bruise. Green and Blue.
