Thrilled to see one of our prints in the beautiful home of @deecampling. 😍 If you’re interested in a print just follow the link in my profile 👆 £20 each including postage and £5 from each print goes to Save The Children. 🌿 And seriously, are those dogs not the loveliest, most well behaved dogs on Instagram?
17 days no alcohol and our wine and beer collection is the biggest it’s ever been. Another box from the beer club just arrived. I’ve been really slow at getting back into things after Christmas but finally got around to making up a set of dungarees / romper using a @brindilletwig pattern. The fabric is my own design but you can buy it on @spoonflower - just follow the link in my bio 👆 I added a little pouch pocket on the front - entirely pointless for a baby but it looks cute. 🌿 I’ll probably make a few more of these soon so send me a message if you’re interested x . . #organicbabyuk #organicromper #brindilleandtwig #genderneutral #shoplocal #madeinni #shopsmall #etsyni #etsyuk #spoonflowerpicit .
Ready, Steady, Go! 2019 I am coming for you! We’ve had a lovely lazy Christmas but now I’m so ready for this next season and I’m planning on kicking it off with a major declutter! Not sure our bin men or local charity shops are prepared for what’s coming their way. No big New Years resolutions, just trying to make some sensible steps towards a more focused home and heart. 🌿 The ‘Ready, Steady, Go!’ Print is available in my Etsy shop for £20 which includes postage. £5 from each sale goes to Save The Children.
Here’s my #bestnine2018 - thanks so much for all your likes and kind comments this year. 😘 We’ve had a lovely chilled Christmas and enjoyed lots of telly, wine and cheeeese!! 🧀 🍷 Hoping you all had a special Christmas and that even if it’s been a tough one, there have been moments of peace and hope xx
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! 🎄 These next few days are my favourite bit - nowhere to go, no need to cook (leftovers for EVER) and great telly. Plus our two kids have spent unusually long amounts of time entertaining themselves happily with new toys and Lego. Bliss. ☕️ This sweet blanket is with its new forever-friend so I can finally share! Hexagons all the way but this time with some pink and coral mixed in. I’ll be taking orders for similar in the new year so message me if you’re interested. 🌿 For now it’s feet up and telly on 👍
Just wanted to share with you a little custom order I’ve just finished. These are bibs for older children with different physical abilities that mean drooling is a problem and damp clothes are not fun! 🌿 These bandanas are printed in organic cotton jersey, so lovely and soft around the neck, then they have a layer of super absorbent bamboo and finally, they’re backed in a waterproof flexible fabric - so no damp clothes and hopefully, no need to change bibs too often. They can also be worn with the waterproof side up if you find yourself in a messy situation and need a wipe clean option! 🌿 I love being able to create a custom order like this - I’ve recently also made tiny bibs and hats for premature babies and even special gowns for babies in SCBU who need clothes that can work around wires and tubes. 🌿 If you need something a little different for an extra special baby or child then I’d love to work with you. Just send me a little direct message and we can chat. 🌿
Photos from the @kingschurchbangor Handmade Christmas Market this weekend. Big thanks to Amy @retrosightphoto for the brilliant shots. (More in the Kings Church Facebook page). What a great day!
Brilliant day! Thanks so much to everyone who came - SO lovely to meet so many fabulous people - also managed to do some ninja shopping (super quick and deadly) so a win all round. Some amazing makers and beautiful stands - I’ll put some pics in my stories. Now drinking sherry, watching strictly and waiting for the curry to arrive. #winning .
Happy Friday! This thing called Black Friday has grown in the last few years to a new kind of crazy. Me and the little man had a potter around town yesterday and the heat is definitely ON. So we stuck to the charity shops and do you know what? I found some awesome things that are going into Christmas stockings for our two (just helping Santa out). 🎄 It’s quite a stretch for me to not buy everything new but all these things are in amazing condition and I know our two will love them just the same. I’m going to do a couple more charity shop visits in the coming week with the aim to getting most of our little gifts this way. 🎄 Controversial? A little.. better for the planet? Probably.
My two year old shouts READY, STEADY, GO! at me at random points when we’re out for a stroll in the buggy and it literally means we have to run full pelt until he says stop (dictatorship?) which he finds utterly hilarious. So I’m going to hang this on the wall by the front door to remind me to gather all my positive energy, patience (?!) and enthusiasm and greet the day head on, ready for all eventualities (dressed in my joggers and ready to go!) Let’s do this! 🏃♀️ These prints are £20 each and £5 from each sale will go to Save The Children who do amazing work around the world. See my last post for more info about their work or visit @savechildrenuk 🌈 The prints are A3 and fit a standard frame size (this is an IKEA frame) and are high quality giclee prints on archival paper, meaning it’s a high quality reproduction that won’t fade like regular prints. They’re available to buy in my Etsy shop - just follow the link in my profile 👆
It doesn’t take much for my daughter to think today is the BEST DAY EVER! A treat after school or a surprise play date.. she reminds me that we can all do little things for each other that help turn a crappy day into a better day. 🌞 These prints are £20 each and £5 from each sale will go to Save The Children who do amazing work around the world. 🌏 The charity works in 68 countries around the world helping children recover from malnutrition, creating safe spaces for children impacted by war and reuniting children with their families. 🌏 Save The Children also work tirelessly in nurseries, school and communities in the UK to help narrow the gap between children living in poverty and their better off classmates. 🌈 The prints are A3 and fit a standard frame size (this is an IKEA frame) and are high quality giclee prints on archival paper, meaning it’s a high quality reproduction that won’t fade like regular prints. hi! There’s a few new faces around here since I last introduced myself so I thought I could join in with #justacardindieweek and share 10 facts about myself: 1. I studied Fine Art and English Lit at Exeter Uni and specialised in painting. 2. I met my husband Dan in my first year of uni 18 years ago and we’re coming up to our 15 year wedding anniversary 3. I’ve been vegetarian since I was 14. 4. We have two children: Rosa age 7 and Theo 2. Our path to growing our family wasn’t easy and included 2 failed rounds of IVF and a few early positives that ended sadly. I’m very thankful for our family. 5. I believe in the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. 6. We moved to the seaside town of Bangor, Northern Ireland 6 years ago and our only regret is the amazing friends we said goodbye to in Watford. 7. My day job is working for @kingschurchbangor. I work part time as the children and families worker and also do the design and communication stuff. 8. In a previous life I was a Coca Cola addict - But I gave up caffeine 6 years ago. I’ll probably start drinking caffeine in my 40s and realise my 30s could’ve been a lot more productive. 9. My favourite books are The Chronicles of Narnia. 10. I’m organising a Handmade Christmas Market that’s happening THIS SATURDAY and blown away by all the amazing local makers and artists who have agreed to come! (All the info is in my stories). Please shop local where you can this Christmas - whether it’s ‘just a card’, a Coffee, a book or a Turkey -our local shops need us! 🎄🎄🎄🎄 #justacardindieweek #justacard #wemakecollective #wearethemakers #bestmadehandmade #shopindependent
Biscuit bribery. I made this little jumper for Theo last night from a mix of fabric - some organic sweats but also some thrifted and gifted bits in my stash. ✂️ All the new fabric I use for kids clothes is organic and ethically produced but I’m interested to hear if people would be interested in some upcycled / thrifted kids stuff like this? 🌿 Pattern is from @brindilletwig
Rosa’s bedroom is the one room in our house with good light and a white floor so this is the spot where I take most of my pictures. Theo (2y) is usually happy playing with the dolls but must’ve heard his Dad on a video call next door (working) and snuck off while I was busy faffing. Next thing I know he’s shouting his head off in the next room and I’m totally busted for trying to do my own thing when I should be stopping the 2 year old from crashing the conference call. Oops. 👶🏼 But I got a nice photo. - Organic baby gown age 0-6m and a matching headband

With Black Friday heading our way I wanted to put out a friendly reminder to please shop local too! I’m all for a bargain and if I needed a new toaster then I’d be the first in the queue to get my hands on a new one.. 🎄 But I also feel strongly about supporting independent businesses, especially at this time of year. If you love unique boutiques, personalised gifts and local coffee shops then please shop with them! 🎄 Even if it’s ‘just a card’, ‘just a book’ or ‘just a coffee’ if we all did this we could help guarantee the future of an independent high street for many years to come. 🎄 If you’re close to Bangor NI you should also come along to the Handmade Christmas Market on Sat 24th Nov 👇 Handmade Christmas Market Sat 24th Nov 1-5pm Kings Church, Seacliff Road, Bangor, BT20 5LB 🌟 Comment below and tag a local shop, cafe or maker who you love and we can all support them too! 🌟🎄👛🌼🍪☕️🍺🎁🛍 #shoplocal #shopindependent #shopindependentthischristmas #bangorxmasmarket #shopsmall #justacard #justacardcampaign #wemakecollective #wearethemakers #bestmadehandmade
