Just a wee soul share...I feel exposed already!
HEALTHY looks different on everybody. For some people that can often mean losing weight. For others....that might actually mean putting on weight.
Not too long ago I got down to around 40kg and most of my bones stuck out.
I didn’t get my period for 3 years, I was freezing all the time, and my hair stopped growing.
I also developed adrenal, digestive and thyroid problems which are thankfully on the mend.
I didn’t intentionally mean to become so thin, it just sort of happened.
These days I can actually fit a size 8, and one day I’ll be able to have a family.
Some days I struggle to get used to having hips, boobs, a bum and a cycle.
Some days it make me feel self conscious and uncomfortable and all a bit too womanly. I still don’t love it.
There is so much pressure out there to look a certain way (for both guys and girls). If you do decide you want to change your body....good for you! But please just do this from a place of health and LOVE.
If you feel good, then you’re probably on the right track.
But if you consciously or unconsciously punish or neglect your body, and you feel depleted, then I would highly recommend exploring the reasons WHY.
Maybe one day you and your bod can even become mates, and you can work with and not against each other to give you the best life possible.
Take care of your precious wee soul suit. You won’t live in it forever so you might as well enjoy your stay. 🙏 💕
Our home is so beautiful.
Watching waves is one of my all time favourite ways to soothe an overactive mind.
Spotify now even has wave playlists that you can pop on the stereo if you don’t live near the ocean.
I’ll see you TOMORROW my sweet friends as we flow to the soothing sounds of waves and Spanish beach guitar one last time.
PLEASE NOTE: This is our FINAL WEEK of classes for the year so if I hope you can make it so I’m able to give you a big goodbye squeeze. 😊🙏🙏 #naturelovers#oceantherapy#wandering#meditation#breathe#mentalhealth#anxiety#purenewzealand#yogaoffthemat
Why not indulge in a little forest bathing.
The Japanese scientific research behind the concept of forest bathing is exceptionally “non hippy”. They claim that hanging out in forests can help to lower blood pressure and cortisol levels, and improve concentration and memory.
I’ve been including more simple nature pics lately in the hopes that these images soothe your mind.
When we are stuck in an office or other less than desired place, I find a beautiful image can still help to bring on those feelings of calm.
Here’s another of my favourite wanders.
Feel free to use these images to set the tone in your relaxations. 🙏🙏 Xx
Spring isn’t far away... 🌸🌼🌻🌺🌹🌷🍃 My favourite season of all 😊
Breathe it all in.
Not too hot, not too cold, full of flowers, new life, and everything blooms and shines.
I hope you bloom and shine too.
If you didn’t receive my email on Friday then I just wanted to personally thank you for all your warmth and support through the Winter.
Not long now!
I will look forward to seeing you on the mat next week. 🙏🙏 Pic: @charlotteclementsphotographer @theapothecarywoolston
I sure do love whipping up yummy creations for @theapothecarywoolston. ❤️ Chia parfaits still remain one of my favourite homemade treats.
I find them nicer than pure chia puddings, as the different layers add more flavour, colour and texture.
If you’re trying to cut back on sugar you certainly don’t need to feel deprived or unsatisfied.
Real food can be incredibly healing and tasty.
Even our Nutrition whizz Melody approves of my sweet treats. 😀😀 Pic: @theapothecarywoolston @charlotteclementsphotographer #foodismedicine#realfood#yogaoffthemat#healingfoods#nourishyourbody#wholefoods#sugarfree#holistichealth#nutrition

Big love to this angel @julia__fenn, who is pretty much an extension of me .❤️ Don’t you just love it when you find people who totally get you and fill you to the brim.
I hope you all enjoyed that glorious weather today.
Feel free to pop into LUNCH TIME YOGA tomorrow if you’re floating about the City.
Fridays at 12.30, in my little city space inside the EPIC building on Manchester St. 🙏🙏🙏 #love#soulfood#springiscoming#angel#solarpowered#plantpowered#wandering#sisters
SOCIAL ANXIETY “Friendship is a wildly underrated medication.” - Anne Deavere Smith
Don’t you just love those relationships where time sort of stops and your heart expands.
Anxiety sure can get in the way of a social life (especially if you experience social anxiety like I did). But ironically, certain relationships can help to pull you out.
I remember a time when I was too afraid to even leave the house.
I know it’s tricky but try not to push EVERYONE away if you’re in an anxious spiral.
Good friends can be a great distraction, and maybe they’ll love you regardless of the mess inside your head.
I’ve noticed that people often accept you as you are if you do. 😊
