I love innovating new dishes with my favorite and most nutritious whole foods. 🥦 - brown rice and broccoli - water sauteed onions and shrooms - creamy chee sauce made by blending plant milk with a handful of cashews, a cup of garbanzo beans and seasoning with onion powder, garlic powder, nutritional yeast, pepper, and parsley. -mixed the sauce with the onions and shrooms till its warm and pour onto the bed of broccoli and rice. Everyday I eat onions, beans, mushrooms and cruciferous vegetables. I enjoy finding different ways to incorporate them into meals. #alfredsauce
Just finished up reading this one. A wonderfully written book that has helped me understand United states foreign policy and world views to a deeper degree. There is a ton of info in this book addressing a wide range of issues within the global theater. Definitely worth the read if you are trying to understand the impacts of certain actions around the world as well as the reasons they happened in the first place. #read #dasbook

This was a popular response to a recent article explaining how 7 out of 10 Australians are now obese due to the rise in obesity of people aged 18 to 24. Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed within just three years there had been 18% jump in proportion of those aged 18 to 24 judged to have excessive BMI. [The fact that a popular opinion people have is, "I'm fat from all of the sugar and carbs, not from the excess fat and oil that I'm eating." is astounding. This statement shows how far we still have to go to help people realise the real reasons why so many people you see walking around are obese. To this day, people still attribute so many diseases and cancers to hereditary reasons instead of understanding that what you put in your body on a day to day basis is what greatly determines how these cancers and diseases truly develop. You can't fill your body with garbage day in and day out and expect to have a healthy functioning body. Our bodies are extremely resilient and are constantly rebuilding, but if you provide shit as a fuel source, you are promoting cancer and disease not curing it.] #veggiescantfixgrammar
I didn't realize it was possible for me to eat 9 tacos, but I did. Super simple tacos made with portobello mushroom, yellow onion, and bell pepper. Seasoned with garlic, smoked paprika, and white wine vinegar. Very simple. Just a few ingredients and about 15 minutes and you'll be full from 9 tacos, too.
Pumpkin spice donuts made with oatflour, coconut flour, and tapioca flour. Topped with a cashew banana nutmeg sweet frosting. Freestyled these donuts this morning and they turned out perfect! I wish I wrote the recipe as I was pouring stuff into the mixing bowl. #donut #donuts
Out of curiosity, I tracked my calorie intake for the day. There is no reason to count your protein, fat, and carb intake. Its important to eat the foods that nourish your body and allow you to be as healthy as possible. Being obsessed with tracking your macros while not being obsessed with the quality or nutrient content of your food is counterproductive to maintaining optimal health. #eattolive
A must read for anyone that is hooked on packing as much protein as possible into every meal. A very well written and informational book with lots of scientific information that is easy to understand. As someone who was utterly (no pun intended) obsessed with how much protein I could eat, this book is literally a life saver. If you like reading, I highly recommend this book. 📚 @drgarthdavis Thank you.
