Loving yourself takes constant work. .
You don’t wake up one day and say “hmmm, I think I’ll start loving myself today” and that’s it.
.
It takes working through the bullshit stories you believe about your worth + potential.
.
It takes letting go of the limitations + labels that have been put on you by others.
.
It takes re-training your brain to recognize how awesome you are instead of berating you about perceived shortcomings.
.
It takes the strength to work through the events + relationships + life situations that messed you up in the first place.
.
I would like to say that, at some point, you don’t have to work at it anymore, but I just can’t.
.
It does get easier. The negative thoughts come less frequently and you learn that your worth isn’t in the hands of anyone but yourself.
. 
But, there will still be struggles. There will still be seasons of hardship + growth. That inner mean girl will show up, even if it’s only a whisper.
.
But, you are worth the work. You are magnificent + beautiful + you make an impact on this world.

I’ve been working sooooo hard to get my inner mean girl to shut the hell up!

It’s been 2 1/2 weeks since my hubby started working out of town, and I’ve been really hard on myself... the long to-do list, slacking on self-care, frustration with the kids...
.
I stepped back and thought, “What would I tell a best friend going through this?”
.
We are our own worst critics, but don’t we deserve the same treatment from ourselves that we give to others?
.
So, show yourself grace ❤️ celebrate what you have done instead of stressing about what’s still left to do ❤️ don’t give up and remember that you are capable of hard things ❤️

Little man had first grade orientation today!

He’s starting at a brand new school, so he’s a little nervous about not knowing anyone. BUT after a hard year of kindergarten at a school that was not a good fit for him, I’m excited to see him blossom this year.

Every day, no matter what, I have my superfoods.

Today, it was on the go, mixed in to iced coffee and almond milk - sweet chocolatey goodness -  without alllllll the sugar 😉

Other days, I take the time to blend up yummy concoctions {{the possibilities are endless}}

It’s not a protein shake or weight loss shake! It simply loads your body up with nutrients that you would never get in your daily diet {{no matter how healthy you eat}}

I share about it because after drinking it for over two years, I live the benefits every day. .
I have more energy, better digestion, rarely get sick, and finally know what it feels like to feel properly nourished every day {{even on the days that call for pizza and drinks}}. I don’t crave junk nearly as much and the adaptogens even help me handle stress! .

OR it can be seen as something we GET to go. Something fun. The most underutilized anti-depressant. The one thing that we can do for US and enjoy when everything else feels out of control.

My affirmation of the day is, “gratitude is my only attitude today.” It was perfectly fitting because today has been hectic + stressful + overwhelming.

But, every hour, my phone reminded me to be grateful for what is 🙏🏻 Gratitude really puts things in to perspective. It’s so easy to focus on what doesn’t seem to be going our way, but actively showing appreciation for what we have + the GOOD in life is completely life changing.

Coaching brought personal development in to my life {{plus a whole tribe of positive + supportive ladies who have my back}} This has given me the strength to face fears and believe in myself + some amazing besties that help me through the hard times.

I’ve survived the first week of hubs working out of town. It hasn’t been perfect or easy, but I’ve learned to be proud of what I accomplish instead of beating myself up for the unchecked items on my to-do list.

I’ve learned that I can do hard things + that challenging times breed growth and new opportunities.

So, I’m choosing to honor the struggle and remind myself that I am a badass who will thrive, no matter my circumstances.

Here’s to positive change + a shit ton of growth ❤️

This alone time has been crucial to my sanity since it’s just me and the kids while my husband travels for work!

My mornings consist of fueling my mind with a positive audiobook, meditation, journaling, gratitude, and, of course, my daily workout 🙌🏻

I don’t HAVE to get up early. Some people think I’m crazy. 🤪

But the peace and happiness I feel the rest of the day totally makes it worth it ❤️
