Anotha day, anotha cup. | I’ve been holding out on you guys. My FAVORITE place to grab a latte is @ctxchicago | it’s quaint with roots that run deep in Chicago. If I’m under the weather or have a friend not feeling well, I know their homemade cold tea blend will work magic. They have a wall of teas, barrels of coffee, and all the accessories you could want to enjoy your cup. Check them out, please!!
♥️There’s a right we have. Some are fighting to use it. Some are fighting to keep it.📮
After 4 hours in line to vote I woke up this morning still aching over our country. Will my vote make a difference? What if our country doesn’t get better?
But then I remembered that I’m not a superhuman who can change everything. I can use my voice. I can encourage others to use their voices. But I can also pray.🙏🏻 🏹 I haven’t shared much about my faith and I’m not sure why. This past year I’ve been doing some soul searching in many ways. After the church shooting it really shook me. Would I die for my faith? My country? And then I looked around at all the beautiful people I’m surrounded by. Yes. I would give everything up for them - and I know somebody who has done that same thing.
Holding onto this today: “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him.” Romans 15:13
Growing up I thought if you were of faith, you held a certain political affiliation. Honestly, I don’t think God subscribes to that either. If he truly loves the people he created, why would he hold up a certain people group as “more worthy”? He doesn’t. His love is strong and overwhelms all fear. Praying for peace and love every day - but extra boldness for today, too.😘
