Bye Joe Bye Joey! 2018; For the last 3 weeks I've had the privilege to be hanging out with these 2 fellas. My brother joe and little Joey live in China and were here on summer break. My sister in law Hope is still in China with the their newborn baby boy named Ryan and I can only imagine how excited you all are to reunite once again. I missed Hope and can't wait to meet Ryan but had so much fun spending time with these two. Little Joey you are so funny and well behaved and just flat out cool. Good work on hope and joe raising this dude. I'll miss you very much and can't wait to see you all again. Alex and I both agreed we are excited for little Joey's ugly stage in the coming years and me photographing it. Til then maybe Christmas, maybe next summer but I love you and can't wait to see you all again!
Lightning over Pueblo in 45 seconds, 2018; I chased this lightning after getting off work around 12 o clock midnight. I went from canon to Pueblo and got many shots like this when it began to drizzle then really picked up raining. The drive home resulted in a 130 AM white knuckle crawl as I drove with a school of traffic going 30 in a 65. I found out that night pueblo got 2 inches of rain in 2 hours and for a good half hour I was stuck in it. The rush of a storm I tell ya. #lightning#lightningphotography#longexposure#nightshot#fujifeed#fujifilm#fujixt2#myfujishot#fuji
Goodbye Luna, 2018;
pictured here is my sister with her and Erica's dog Luna. Luna was recently diagnosed with severe kidney failure and had been living out the final days of her life until today. My heart goes out to my sister who as of late has gone through an extremely difficult series of events thats shifted her life even before the news of lunas health. My sister Lindsey was so thankful as she spoke to me last night with tears continually filtering through her eyes. "Shes hung on so long" she told me."I know shes held on and helped me through all these hard times...but now it's her time to go. Shes done everything she possibly could but it's time for her to go now." Its incredible the impact our pets have on our lives. Lindsey and Luna have been together for 12 loving years and its impossible not to tear up when you see her looking at that dog knowing she has to let go. I love that dog so much for everything it has given her and our family. My heart also goes out to Erica who also spent 12 years of her life with Luna whom she rescued from a dog fighting ring. My heart and time is here for you girls if you need anything. These pictures were taken last night and was the last time I'd ever see her. Rest in peace Luna. if you're reading and have pets love on them extra when you see them next. You both deserve it.
you've been out of the state for a week and I really miss you and am ready for you to come home. The house is clean and the cats are fed and when you come home all you have to worry about is loving on me. I ate way too much pizza and drank too much beer. The abandoned house next door is slowly coming along but it still says crip bitch on the house. can't win them all. I'm just so ready to see you. Be safe coming home and I'll see you tonight!
