Food for THOUGHT 💭
Someone recently asked me what my greatest fear was. Immediately, I responded that I wasn’t afraid of anything. Which in part, is true. I’m not afraid of illness, or death. I’m not afraid of natural calamity or acts of violence. I cannot control these things therefore to be afraid would be an active misuse of my energy. But then I got to thinking .... there had to be something I was truly fearful of (because fear is a powerful motivator, right?) and as it turns out, there is....
My greatest fear would be if in my final moments my last sentence began with the words “I WISH I HAD ...”. 🙏🏻
I wish I had ... worked less.
I wish I had .... loved more.
I wish I had .... worried less.
I wish I had .... laughed more. &
I wish I had ... spent more time with my babies and loved ones. 🙏🏻
Life should never be lived or ended in regret. Time, as the most precious commodity, needs to be well spent in order to achieve its full value. Spend yours doing what my dad stressed until the very end of his... spend it LIVING , LAUGHING , LEARNING and LOVING . Share your joy with the hands that hold yours and nourish not just your body, but your mind with the FRUITS of LIFE. 🍉🍓🍒🍊🥝

I’m not a chef. I not a business owner. I’m not a daughter, a friend or a mom. I’m not an Aries, I’m not a vegan, I’m not a Californian who became a New Yorker. When you strip apart all of my titles, I’m just me: Robbi. And sometimes it’s difficult remembering the girl behind the labels. ✨
I spend so much of my time and energy concentrating on work, friends and family that I give little attention to the girl born with freckles and red hair. I think we all do. This insta-on, social media, living up to the “ideal” persona, is something we are all afflicted with. We are always in a rush, always in pursuit of the “next best thing”, the next big achievement, that sometimes we forget that it all starts from within. Sometimes we need to CHECK OUT in order to CHECK IN. ✨
You can’t be a friend to others if you’re not first a friend to yourself. And like I always stress, you can feed your body with all the right foods, but you need to first feed your MIND with the right food for THOUGHT. I’m going to spend a few deliberate days doing just that. Reminding myself that before all the other titles I hold, I first hold the title as ME and she is most important. ✨
Remember, you first must secure your own air mask, then tend to others because you can only be your best to the people and world around you, if you are the best to yourself first. ✨
