One of my fav experiences this year, #correfoc courtesy of @mitchell.grant.nani ; “In the correfoc, a group of individuals will dress as devils and light fireworks - fixed on devil's pitchforks or strung above the route.“
“Dancing to the sound of a rhythmic drum group, they set off their fireworks among crowds of spectators.”

@featherstephens “I think life gets fast and we rush around with our heads down too often. And in the process we forget to stop, ask questions, listen, and try to understand perspectives outside of our own. Today was a stop in my tracks and smack my privileged-self across the face kind of day. @wy_co ventured out in Buenos Aires to volunteer at a homeless shelter for people with disabilities. After a few short hours, I walked away with a new friend and a core-shaking story. Hector (pictured above) is a survivor of a 15 year coma, and more recently a survivor of cancer. He’s lived at the shelter for seven years. When I first walked in he welcomed me and said: “today was a wonderful day to be alive”. After hearing his journey of traumas and trials, I asked him how how his spirit could shine so bright? He told me that his life has been so difficult and so challenging, so he tries extra hard to live for every bright spot of every day. We shared some tears together and a hug. And I walked away with a few reminders to self: be grateful for all the good bits of life... never underestimate the pain of a person, because everyone has their own struggle… and talk less, listen more because everyone has a story to tell. Today really was a wonderful day to be alive. Thank you @francesca_burns for capturing this moment. I’ll remember it forever.” #wycogives #wy_co #buenosaires #argentina🇦🇷
