“Yes!” My answer to Brad’s question... “are you really gonna run now?!” You know it baby! I’m committed! And a little crazy! Got 2+ miles in on a 5% incline before calling it a night.
Breakfast was my usual breakfast shake w/added fruit. Lunch was a cup of soup & 1/2 a steak sandwich. Went “healthy” at dinner, A cup of chicken veggie soup (no tortilla strips), steak & veggie fajitas (no tortillas, beans or rice, and NO oil!... still super tasty) and yes, some chips & salsa! Mixed raw nuts, cucumbers & carrots for snack.

💯 did not want to workout tonight, but I did it! Not my best, but I got 3 miles in before bed. I knew I was going out for drinks after work, so rather than knowing wine was in the near future throw off my whole day, I stayed on track, even at dinner!
Breakfast was a shake w/added fruit. Lunch was my left over veggie packed salad. Snacks were raw almonds, a string cheese, cucumbers & carrots. Dinner was rose (yes way! 🙃), a beer salad, a yummy meatball, a piece of sourdough & some very very very yummy homemade pretzel. While not an amazing dinner, also not terrible for a night out... so I call that a success!
Getting back at it! I know these next 8 weeks are going to be crazy with work & the holidays. So I’m making a preemptive strike against the holidays, the sweets, the stress, the lack of sleep... you name it... and I’m gonna go back to what worked for me in Spring & early Summer... YOU ALL!!! Y’all were my accountability buddies! Y’all kept me on track & kept me going! You’re the reason I’m at 158 days straight of working out!
I know if I don’t build in some accountability with my eating (YES! I’m a stress eater, I’m an emotional eater) all the workouts in the world won’t be enough. I also want to get my speed back on my runs, so I gotta fuel my body for that.
That’s not to say I won’t treat myself or indulge on purpose. Or hell, just straight fall off the wagon, but I’m gonna be tracking it all here. So feel free to follow my journey or skip over my posts - cuz I know daily food & workout posts aren’t for most. But this is my page after all, so I’ll do what I want with it 😁
So, with that! Pretty good first day! I did snack on chocolate covered almonds because I left my healthy snacks in the car during a store visit. And I stole a bite of Kenzie’s pecan pie (it was sooo good & it was only one bit, for real, just one bite) & a Halloween size Heath bar (my absolute weakness next to anything peanut butter & chocolate 🤣). But hey, it’s the first day back at it and the first day after an indulgence filled camping weekend!
Breakfast was 1 egg w/tomato & avocado slices. Lunch was a Chinese chicken salad. Snacks were cucumbers, carrots, & a string cheese. Dinner was left over smoked pulled pork chili, cornbread muffin, & a kale salad. 🥚🍅🥑🥒🥕🥗 I also got my 2 miles in with weight training after! We are heartbroken. We had to put our BooBoo down yesterday. He was the sweetest, most playful, lovable, old man dog. He sure loved our kiddos, especially Jake, and they sure loved him. We were so lucky to have him for the past few years. I know my mom is beyond heartbroken as he was hers since he was a puppy. I’ll never forget when he was brand new to the family, he would love to play in my curls when I laid on the floor. And I think that’s part of the reason he loved Jakey so much, they were curly haired crazy boy soulmates & best buds! There’s a huge whole in our hearts. We’ll miss ya & love you forever BooBoo.
