Static lunges have to be one of my Favourite exercises for building muscle Mass through my Legs, as you’ll notice I keep my upper body as Straight as possible, pinning my shoulders back and keeping my head up. Making sure your core is fully engaged. Proceeds to push your Glutes away while bending at the back knee making sure the Front Knee doesn’t Extend over the front foot. Continue to the desired rep range with a 5 second Pause between legs and again for the opposite leg.

Lunges are such a  powerful exercise to engage your quads and gluteal muscles, This exercise allows you to focus on those Target muscle groups except it gives your body more of a break. If you're looking to build of burn BF your legs then this is definitely an exercise worth looking to add to your Quad day leg workouts.

Those that are handed everything in life and given everything to make them seem successful are the ones that will find out hard and lonely life can be at their false sense of success. Those that are handed success by mum and dad don’t realise how to grow through hardships and pain. Most claim they work hard because they got tired and then leave it to those around them to do all the work and take none of the glory.

Success comes through hard work and the hard work starts when you get tired. How hard are you willing to push once you get tired and once your body says no?! How many sets and reps have you got left after your body saying “I can’t”. If we want to achieve more than the average then we must work harder than the average. No Successful athlete out there says I do the same as others!! They work until they can’t work anymore and then keep pushing from there.

For myself I genuinely think the Hack Squat and the conventional Barbell Squats are the Two best Quad/ leg building exercises for hypertrophy (this means muscle building) these are exercises that are Staples in my Leg workouts. Exercises that I use 95% of the time year round even coming close to a show. I feel these exercises can push myself and the specific muscle groups to the absolute capacity of what I am able to do until failure is the only option. Volume is key to benefiting from these exercises. Making sure that progressive over load takes you to a point of no return.

Having the ability to train with the Pros always allows you to be pushed that much further. You have to be pushed further than your mental state thinks it can go sometimes to allow for the right environment for muscle growth and development.

For example last week I gave Blood and just a few days later I found out MY blood had helped save someone’s life. That person will never know me or ever come and thank me but I felt such a sense of happiness and worth that I had the opportunity to help another human being.

Throughout my life if there’s one thing I’ve been constantly striving for is to better my self both physically and mentally every single day. Life is there sometimes to knock you down and try and block you from achieving your goals and your wants but it that perseverance, commitment and continuous effort that say F##k you world I’m going to be successful no matter what barriers you put up in front of me!! I’ve never been the most gifted or natural born athlete but if there’s one thing that wins over anything else it’s my commitment to achieve my potential.

It’s no secret of mine that I’ve been through tough times both with some injuries physically and some depression issue but it’s the Can’t fail attitude that I’ve been proud of my entire life that has got me to this stand point and where I’m at today. We all have the ability to be better, to be stronger, to work a little harder!! The only thing that actually stops us is Ourselves!!! It’s never Easy going through life and things on their own but staying strong and working on whatever we have to work on it will all become worth it in the end. I remember when I was back in school and we use to have to do spider charts with our goal in the middle and then we would branch off ideas on how we’d achieve those wants and goals. For the most part we all want some form of success but it’s the small percentage of us that actually do something about that WANT and Go and do whatever we need to do and make it happen.

Has anyone ever considered what they’d do in the gym if social media didn’t exist?? How they’d train?!?!! For most of us social media is a large part of our daily routines especially in the gym. Throughout my life I use to never have confidence in myself and constantly seek others approval just to make myself feel better about who I was as a person. Genuinely I use to be so unconfident if someone would raise there voice at me I’d lose my voice and I would shake and sweat the harder I tried to get the words out it felt like to bigger my tongue got stopping the rods from@coming out. This was down to a life time of being bullied for either being to small or to fat.

The point if this is we all have the ability to build our own confidence and have the ability to go after whatever we want in life. All we have to do is believe in ourselves. Once we all believe we can do something our physical bodies have a way of embodying those beliefs and I mean truly truly believe not just kinda want something. Being confident and success in life is about you believe you are truly something unique and truly something special and can offer the world so much that no one else can. Seated @hammerstrengthofficial rows are definitely a staple in my back training and development. You’ll see from the way im Seated in the machine that I am seated at the back and my chest is pushed forwards to stop any kind of momentum. Think about it if we’re trying to get the most amount of contraction from our backs why would we want to lift our chests off the pad?? Begin exercise by squeezing your lats and pulling the weight backwards while forcing your chest into the pad as much as possible. Focus on using your back while trying to minimise your arms to pull the weight. Squeezing your shoulder blades together at the top movement and then slowly lower weight back to starting of the movement.

When you return the weight to the starting position keeping a slow movement. Ensure that your muscles reach a deep stretch at the top of the movement. Making sure your shoulders are completely extended. Which will allow for full range of movement throughout the entire exercise.

After spending time in the states with Team @granitesupplements and @ironrebel I found my new motivation my “WHY” I have new personal goals as well as professional goals.

Did I have obstacles and thing to over come along the way DAM right I did but if I didn’t have those obstacles and hurdles to over come how would I of ever found out how hard I can actually dig and find out just how much I wanted to pursue my dreams, goals and aspirations. • When the world seem like it’s on top of you and everything is against you what’s going to keep you in sight of your goals regardless of how out of sight they may feel sometime??? • Looking within and finding that Strength is where you’ll find out what your truly made from. There’s so many life lesson that some maybe won’t or some don’t think you need to know but going through life and Learning lessons can sometimes save your life because you had that strength and knowledge to get through that tough time. • Greatness and success is an accumulation of a lot of small goals achieved and done to the best of your ability. • • • • • #thursday  #throwback  #knowledge

When Facebook sends you a reminder of you when you were 19!! For as long as I can remember exercise, weight training and being able to present a physique I can be proud of has major goals the major goals in my life. This just goes to show that at 19 I had a dream and at 30 I had achieved the goals I set out to achieve.

Moral of the story if you genuinely wholeheartedly want something and I mean REALLY want it in your soul then nothing will get in your way to achieving whatever it is you want. I’m living proof that shit can happen but it’s how much you want something that will determine if your going to get back up from the knocks and carry on fighting. Its your life live it to the best of your abilities every single day.

The most powerful thing we have in our bodies is our minds!! Monday’s are always a good starting point to set some goals and make some decisions in life. I am going to make the most of the coming days and give it everything I have or am I going to become victim to my own negativity and say “WHY” don’t I ever get what I want, or moan that things arnt going there way. If you don’t like what you do for work, CHANGE IT, if you don’t like where you live, CHANGE IT. We all have the ability to moan and make ourselves look negative but for the 1% that Shut up and get up this is a new week to make everything you plan for, work towards and set out to achieve happen.

Personally if you have followed me you’ll know I’ve never not gone after something I want in life. Have I failed? Hell yes!! But I’d prefer to fail and try again then to of never tried at all and wondered what if. Through my life is have tried and failed at a lot of things and I am happy I’ve failed and Learnt because without the journey taken I wouldn’t of become the person I am today. If today all my worldly possessions were taken from me, I wouldn’t lose who I am as a person. Possessions are easily achieved and gathered the journey that gets you to those things is the exciting learning experience.

Controlling our focus mentality is key if we spend all our time focusing on the things that might not happen or the things that might go wrong then changes are you won’t even be slightly focusing on what it is you want to achieve. If you control that focus and don’t let distractions get in your way changes are your 100% more likely to achieve whatever it is you set out to get.
