Back where I belong, Back doing what I love!! Back day Dumbbell single arm rows.

This exercise has always been a staple of my back workouts for as long as I can remember. The single arm Dumbbell row allows for the greatest stretch at the midpoint of the rep. Where a muscle is stretched under load against resistance, which means a great deal more of muscle fibre break down. which sends a very powerful anabolic growth and recovery producing signal to the body. This results in more rapid hypertrophy being muscle growth into the muscle.

For me I believe that you should always treat people with the up most respect and always give more than you expect to receive until given reason to not. I am a very much 110% in person of 110% out person. Real talk!!! If I have passion for something or someone I will give everything I can into that specific thing. If I don’t I won’t give anything and will very much become short and some what quite and unforthcoming with anything in life. If you are strong be a protector don’t use your strength on people who may not have the speed or the intelligence you do, if your smart be humble. For those that use there intelligence against others to put them down and for their own selfish reasons that’s called bullying and for that it makes you the worst kind of person. Everything in life of value, family, friends your job and the money you want to make go an Earn it!!!!

Which one should you put your focus on? For decades some fitness professionals and functional fitness gurus preach that you should primarily use single-limb movements. They'll tell you to pass on some weird lunge exercise for a back squat reason being because it’s super Functional. Which is definitely true but Lunges and daily Movements such as Walking are also extremely functional.

Like I’ve previously stated we need a combination of great exercise selection and the right programming with both Single and double limb exercise to obtain maximum Muscle growth and stimulation.

If the only constant in life is change then why don’t be allow our selfs in the driving seat and control what those changes are, either physically or in our environment around us. We all have the ability or the power to achieve and control our own failures and successes. I know I’d much rather be in the position to control the change and determine my own success.

Told you I’d do it. This is legitimately the first time I’ve ever tried having an “off season” time where my calorie intake is higher than ever before and will continue to climb as my metabolism builds stronger and my muscular calorific intake needs are more and more!!! With my Calories and Body weight increasing so are the Weights I am training with. This might of only been 4 reps but at a weight i have never done before on a Flat bench movement so today was a total success and a win in my book.

I’m happy to say after this weeks training I am looking forward to the forced rest while I travel over the next few days.

Today’s Tricep, Bicep collaboration with @teamnaturalgains was a killer of a session. Me and Elliot use to train together when I lived in the UK full time and what a way to realise I haven’t been training to my full potential over the last few weeks and months!!

The workout was all still based around progressive overload and was mixed up hitting Biceps before triceps which is definitely a new one but painful one for me.

As you can see from this video we are doing rest pause sets of lying tricep extensions in my opinion one of the best exercises for building triceps. The reason we used the floor today was to allow for the full rest while keep the muscle under constant tension. Grip the EZbar with an overhand grip with both hands just under shoulder width apart.
Bring the bar up to your chest and lay down on your back on the floor or bench which you prefer. Keeping your elbows fixed in place and making sure your elbows are tucked in. slowly lower the bar until it is about an inch from your forehead. then slowly extend your arms back to the starting position. Making sure you don’t lock your elbows out,  and then repeat for reps depending on set and programme.

Knowing your own worth and value is priceless. Show others your strengths and value and they will want your knowledge and they will pay what is worth. Having the mind of a winner and a champion. Always winning, always conquering goals, always thinking what do I achieve next. These are all priceless assets in life that no one can take from you as long as you are strong and true to yourself.

If you hesitate and think there’s a bail out well you’ve already bailed on your own success and whatever is it your goals were. One of my favourite exercises for legs definitely has to be a stiff leg dumbbell deadlift. This is an awesome exercise for packing on quality tissue. For me I like to feel every rep. The muscle lengthening on the negative, the stretch at the bottom of the movement and the power back on the concentric part of the movement.

Standing with your feet about shoulder length apart, gripping The dumbbells should be at your sides with your arms fully extended downwards, Keep your knees straight but soft and pronating you bum outwards. Start to bend at the waist while lowering the dumbbells. You should start to have a stretch in your hamstrings and through your glutes.

The exercise is one of the best hamstring building exercises. you don't need heavy weight for this exercise but it’s always fun to see what kind of weight you can shift, keep your back straight during the entire movement. You should only be bending at your waist with a straight but soft bend in your knees.

Taking advantage while here in the UK to train specific body part at gyms that have the best equipment for the muscle group. Yesterday was legs and Boy what a session. I went he’ll for leather and I was like a kid in a candy shop.

Started off with Two hamstring exercises then moving onto supersets on the Hack Squat and leg extensions, then onto heavy leg press (this was my last set of 4 in the video) finishing off with some pendulum Squats superset with walking lunges.

Ever since I started my “off season” training and nutrition which was set back due to my Hamstring injury. I’ve been focusing on hard but progressive over load. Trying to shock my body into growing as much as physically possible.

Here is am performing one of my last exercises of the workout for side laterals. Bringing the bend to an up right position has allowed my to fully concentrate and focus on isolating the medial lateral part of my shoulders.

Offseason aren’t just about packing on thickness it’s also about building Width. - Ever since I started my “off season” training and nutrition which was set back due to my Hamstring injury. I’ve been focusing on hard but progressive over load. Trying to shock my body into growing as much as physically possible. - Here is am performing one of my last exercises of the workout for side laterals. This is the first time I’ve actually done this bio lateral movement since before I tore my Hamstring my leg wasn’t strong enough previously to stabilise me when performing the exercises. This definitely has to be one of my favourite exercises for back the connect and contraction I can get through the large portion of my back is unreal without compromising on form and allowing me to move a good amount of weight through a full range of movement.

Of all the next exercises I have been trying to create new muscle growth and improve on my physique this definitely has to be one of my favourites.

As much as I am a fan of compound movements like Squatting, pressing, pulling and deadlifts the Isolation exercise for Sculpting a physique are just as important. Take away all momentum and other muscle groups this exercise has really allowed me to really create new levels of stimulation through my side laterals. -
