Can you believe this pup is 17 years old? Yes, Hershey here has defied age and looks amazing. He certainly energetic on our neighborhood fall shoot. I love that there are still some many amazing fall colors and the weather has been amazing. I have some fall specials still going on through November. Hit me up you are interested. 🍁🍂
I don’t know if it gets any better when you have to adorable Labradoodles running at ya. We have Miah in the first photo and Tallulah in the second. Miah had more of a fun goofy run, Tallulah was the speed demon. 😃
When the colors just work out perfectly and compliment one another. Had an awesome adventurous shoot with this young boy Kangaroo, yes, Kangaroo is his name and jumping for leaves is definitely his game. Except this one of course, he played nicely with. 🍁 😃
Sorry for reposting this. I mixed up the pups by accident - Please keep Luke here in your thoughts and prayers. He had to go through mandatory life saving surgical procedure and is currently in the ICU. 🙁 He and his brother Bo (in the second picture) are the Duke brothers with Angels With Misplaced Wings. Here is there background story-
Bo and Luke are littermates that joined our sanctuary as 3 month old puppies. Their unique solid white coloring is a result of poor breeding practices that allow for a recessive trait to be “exposed”. Great Danes with this trait are often blind, deaf or both. That is the case with both Bo and Luke. In their case they have some vision, however it is limited to shapes, light and darkness and both have no hearing. Luke only has one developed eye, while the other is a non-functional orb. We brought them into our family knowing that the recessive gene often reveals other health issues as they age, which has been the case with these two. Bo has severe allergies to nearly everything he was tested for coming from the environment; his allergist considers him one of her top ten worst cases that she is currently treating. Bo also has severe IBD, again in the top ten currently treated cases, along with reflex dysunergia that means he has trouble urinating due to neurological function. This causes him to develop stones and recurrent urinary tract infections. Bo also has two heart conditions. Luke also has severe IBD, seizures and most recently developed tumors in his intestinal tract. Despite their health challenges these two boys are active trouble makers and make our daily lives and adventure.

Had a great shoot with this scruffy boy, Benjamin. He was 1 of 5 of the Angels With Misplaced Wings I photographed yesterday. Benjamin was a bit of challenge being pretty afraid of me, but we sparked his curiosity on a few such as this shot. More info on him below-
Benjamin was rescued from a large scale puppy mill by the Oregon Humane Society along with 140 other dogs. He spent the first year of his life in a crate with no human contact of any kind. He has grooves in his back teeth were he spent hour after hour chewing on the crate. At the shelter he refused to approach or be approached let alone being touched or handled. We were at the shelter for another purpose and walked the adoption floor. We stopped at the kennel with Benjamin and group of other little dogs and Michael sat down next to the kennel so he could be a their level and pet them. One of the staff told us all about them and mentioned Benjamin and that they were concerned he would never be adoptable. We were let into the kennel, Michael sat down and Benjamin jumped in his lap...they have been best friends ever since. Benjamin has been with us for 6 years and while he has made tremendous strides, he remains very shy and unsure about anything new or sudden. Benjamin’s physical health is great with his main issue being emotional or “behavioral”.
Had to edit at least one more shot of Finn before I become inundated with work from all my recent shoots and more scheduled this weekend. Taking maximum advantage of this beautiful weather and fall foliage! 🍁😁
