Something you should always do around this time of the year is to start planning out your goals for 2019... think back and reflect on this past year and go over the positive and negatives things that have happened. There are probably a few things that you said you were going to do or that you wanted to get done but didn't. Commit to them and make them habits in 2019.
Make sure you voice them and put them out into the world. It gives you that extra sense of accountability and makes them seem more "real". Post them on social media, or just talk to your family. But the important thing is that you project them out into the world.
Not "I'm going to try to lose weight" but "I am going to lose weight". Figure out your goals, then break them down into the daily habits that you will need to adopt in order to reach these goals... Then start doing them. Now.
Success with any goal is all about momentum and the creation of these little daily habits. You don't have to lose the weight today, you just have to get up and go to the gym.
Realize that these things are 100% within your control and that you are the sole responsible party for achieving your 2019 goals, whatever they may be.
