While the world cup may be over  many soccer leagues around the world are about to begin! 
Rest is key for players who participated in the month long tournament, however, the timeline between vacation and preparation for consistent high intensity sport in their respective domestic leagues is small at best.
Therefore concerns around a player’s level of fitness and injury risk are always questions asked at the start of the season, leading to many predictive factors being put into place to mitigate risk 
A recent study through the BJSM attempted to create an association for injury risk by tracking professional soccer player’s level of workload after practices, with workload simply being a players rating of how “hard” they thought their practice was from 0-10 over 4 weeks
When the average of practices for the first week (acute workload), was compared to averages over a few weeks of practices (chronic workload). Acute to chronic workload ratios at 1:3 and 1:4 weeks demonstrated an increased association with non-contact injuries !
So what can you take from this? While this is just one study, you could appreciate that listening to how your body feels could hold some merit in giving you a warning sign for injury, especially if you’ve been consistently beating it up over the last few weeks (#summer). So, take the needed time to rest, exercise, or get treated to tackle whatever life can throw at you ! .

BUT! Strawberries are one of the worst foods on the #dirtydozen list according to the Environmental Working Group.

That doesn't mean you want to avoid them altogether though, you just want to make sure you are trying to buy them organic! And if that isn't a possibility, make sure you are washing them well (there are lots of natural fruit cleaners on the market, but research shows that a vinegar solution or even rinsing well while rubbing can remove many of the surface chemicals).
