Today is World Mental Health Day.
To those who suffer from mental illness in silence afraid of being judged, know that you are not alone. Your illness does not define you, and may you come to know that you are worth more than your darkness.
May we all remember that everyone we meet is fighting a battle we know nothing of. Be kind, always.
Gone is the notion that meditation is reserved for just the “new agers” and “hippies”. In fact, the practice of meditation, over recent years, has been more commonplace, and has been embraced by many throughout every demographic.
Acts of mindfulness, gratitude, meditation, as well as journaling, are techniques that have been proven to be effective in helping improve our wellbeing.
There are a ton of apps readily available that can assist in guided meditation - whether you’re a beginner just starting out or just need a hand in the practice.
Point being is the importance of integrating some time into our days to find our centre - our balance - and to be mindful of our thoughts / our state of being, rather than having a mind full of thoughts that just weigh us down, serving no other purpose than stress us out. #tuesdaythoughts

It’s so much easier to be thankful when everything in our lives is going well.
Not so much the case when going through life’s storms... because really, it ain’t easy.
It’s during those difficult times, that we must take a moment to contemplate on the good things that we do have, and may just take for granted.
Like being able to move, to hear, to speak, to see, to taste, to breathe.
The mere fact that we’re still here, and that we’re able to do what we can with what we have, is a gift in itself.
While we have life in us still, and are given another day, let us then truly live! To right wrongs, to do better, to try again, to hope, to show our appreciation. To count our blessings and name them one by one, here and now, while we can.
It’s said that insanity is the process of doing the same thing over and over again, expecting to get different results.
Limiting beliefs and fears often play a starring role in hindering us when it comes to taking that next step to achieving our goals.
It can be so daunting to take that leap of faith - heck, even that small step - that’ll take us towards a path so different from what we know.
But what if we were to tell those fears (of failure, disappointment, rejection, of the unknown) to take a backseat? To allow instead that part of ourselves that wants to flourish to grab the steering wheel and drive right out of our comfort zones towards all the new and wonderful possibilities that await us - if only we tried. If only we said yes. If only we told fear to hush up and sit down... because fears is a liar... and ain’t nobody got time for that. Not anymore.
Shed the old ways of thinking and elevate to a higher mindset....Because you oh so owe it to yourself, don’t you agree?
When it’s all sweater weather in the a.m, then a heatwave by the afternoon.
Yes, we’re in that phase where deciding on what to wear outdoors is questionable. With the change in temperature - from it dropping to rising and dropping again, all in one day - can leave us susceptible to catching a cold.
Layering is key. Having a light jacket on, or wearing a light scarf around your neck to keep warm is best - they can both be taken off easily enough, and thrown on when necessary (like when being inside the office where the AC is more than likely blowing cold air).
Drinking hot soothing beverages and loading up on your vitamin C intake will also help stave off that cold that’s prone to go around!
