It was -30 degrees outside but we hadn't seen the sun in ages so we decided to go to the river (the longest river in Finland, Kemijoki) to see the sun. It was freaking cold but freaking beautiful. We didn't last outside more than for 20 minutes because it was so cold. But we saw the sun and I got this beautiful picture of my brother and our poodle being happy. Worth it.
A few years ago we decided to get our Christmas tree from the forest which turned out to be an amazing day walking in deep snow freezing our butts off in the middle of the wilderness. But we finally found the perfect tree which is in this picture behind my beautiful sister. And oh how happy we were.
One day during winter I came up with the idea of a small adventure that our family could make to a nearby lean-to which was reachable after a small hike. We took some hot chocolate and sausages with us and hiked our way in snow on top of a fell. We had the best view of sunset on top of that fell and enjoyed spending time together. My dad was so happy to have a sausage after the hike.
So you know, take pictures.
