Yesterday took the train Helsingör to see the castle Kronborg (translates to crown city). The castle was made even more famous by Shakespeare using it as the model for Elsinore in the play Hamlet. The last photo of the castle was taken from the ferry as it crossed the sound over to Sweden #helsingör#kronborg#shakspeare
Off to Helsinger to see a castle and then we cross the oresund, “narrow water”, takes about 20 minutesto cross into Sweden. We’ll head into Malmö, Sweden and then head back to Copenhagen!!! This gentleman helped us, isn’t he cute!!??#copenhagen#copenhagentrainstation
We found a yarn store!!!! But forgot to take a photo of their yarn wall 🤦🏽♀️ awesome yarn, but more importantly everyone there is so knowledgeable and customer over and beyond the call duty!!! @sommerfuglen.dk
Photos from our gourmet food tour with María, our guide. The tour focused on the west end of Copenhagen which originally was a meat processing area. This area goes back to at least the 1600s, vacated during WWII. This is being revitalized as a trendy art and food district. Food aims in being 100% organic.
Isn’t this chair the best?!? Currently at San Francisco airport waiting .... but i was able to snag this chair next to the window which is also next to an outlet. So I’m recharging my phone and myself before the long ass trip to Copenhagen all while I begin to knit a pair of socks! #knittersofinstagram#knitsocks#knittersofinstagram
I was asked a few days ago by my dear friend @katerinaff85 about my WIP, but of course had no idea what it meant. I’m slooooow, but I had a lightbulb moment and “got it”! Here’s my WIP that I had put down for several days as I was frustrated with myself for having made a mistake with the color work and seriously contemplated ripping it out AGAIN! Well, hells bells! This baby will have a family of her own by the time I’d finish it. So I decided I could live with it and am continuing on! Plus all yarn for this child’s sweater came from my stash! WooHoo!#knitting#knittersofinstagram#sunsethighwaymini#sunsethighwaysweater
😩😩😩 i have to rip all the way back!!! I was so focused on getting this child sweater done quickly that I didn’t stop to think! I wanted to make this #childsunsethighway into a cardi instead of a pullover. My goal being much easier to put on and take for both the parent and child, but one major mistake!!! The steek in the BACK! 🤦🏽♀️ 🐸🐸🐸 @boylandknitworks #sunsethighwaysweater#knittersofinstagram
Our youngest granddaughter modeling her #sunsethighwaysweater for her tenth birthday. I made the XS thinking she’d have plenty of room to grow into it, but she’s growing faster than I’m able finish them!!! @boylandknitworks
