Feeling thankful for a weekend spent with friends who showered baby, hubby, and I with lots of love. This whole gonna-be-parents-in-two-months thing is a little less daunting knowing we've got our village behind us 💕 #gratitude
70! This is my highest mileage month (barely!) since becoming pregnant 💪 ❄️❄️❄️ So. There's no way I am going to hit my #1000milesin2018 goal. My average daily mileage since being pregnant is about two miles a day, including my inactive 0 mile days. I've got a basement to finish, a nursery to create, two jobs, and the holidays! But, I started the year really strong, so I'm hoping I keep feeling half decent and can finish the year with a good 950 miles or so. I'm still pretty happy with that, especially since when I set the goal I figured I'd be in my first trimester by the end of the year. Didn't really expect to be in my third! I figured maybe I'd be pregnant 3 months of this year... not 8! Ha! ❄️❄️❄️ THAT ASIDE. I'm really pleased to still be running 5k without much discomfort. This last week I really started to struggle with running and talking at the same time - my lungs are getting soooo squished. I'll just keep slowing down and taking it easy. It feels so good to still be running and hitting BODYPUMP when I can. I really hope it helps with labor when we get there! ❄️❄️❄️ Can't believe that today (exactly!) I've got two months to go until my expected due date. Pregnancy seems like such a long haul in the beginning, but now that we're into the third trimester I can hardly believe how fast it has passed. Thankful for buddies and family that have been our village as we prepare for this little one!
All the walls are framed in! Some soffit work remains for next weekend... but in the meantime, the framework is up so we can start getting wiring in place after work this week. Woo hoo! Starting to see where this madness is going 😁 now off to Home Depot to contemplate lighting options and grab some electrical stuff!
Excellent night out with the hubby bubby 💕 about three weeks ago when things started hitting the fan in life (again, always, ugh) he put this little event on my calendar. Enjoyed the night with @denverbotanic, especially upon discovering they had decorated the tree we dedicated to my mother-in-law with purple lights 💜
Today it begins! For those of you that followed our bathroom remodel - any bets on whether or not we can turn this into a finished space before end of January?! 😂 Here goes nothing...! Today, plumbing adjustments to meet minimum ceiling requirements 😬
Today would have been my mother-in-law's 54th birthday. Instead it's the first November 4th that's passing without her - one of many firsts we're going to experience in the next few months. 💜💜💜💜 The hardest part of this pregnancy has been grieving the fact that this kiddo is never going meet Gramma Norris. She wanted to be a gramma so badly, I know she would have been the best. I wonder if the baby will have her eyes, her nose, her hair? All I know for sure is that we'll share every memory we can to make sure kiddo knows how great Gramma was. 💜💜💜💜 Grief is the worst. It's hard to believe that this time last year, everything was normal and everyone was here. So much has changed in the last 9 months 💔 somehow the world keeps spinning and some days it's okay to just not be okay. 💜
Also if you will indulge this nerdy runner... I did calc out the daily mileage I'll need to finish on track for my target 1,000 miles in 2018! Currently trending behind target mileage thanks to, you know, pregnancy... but the sprained ankle last month is what really did me in. ANYWAY... 🤰🏃🤰🏃
3.1 miles a day. That's it! But also, that's gonna be tight! Fingers crossed for great mild weather through the rest of the calendar year, and a cooperative baby bump body. 😬 #goals#puttingitoutthere
Perfect morning for a run! Got almost-five miles in with @jones.kasey in the dark, misty morning hours. It was beautiful! Felt great, even though I got a cramp in the end and walked quite a bit. Got home and took the pooch out for a short loop afterward. 💕 Fall weekend mornings are the best!
