Counting the days until this beer hits tap handles. Great time day drinking with @reasonbeer @charlottesville29 and Josh and John + staff from Beer Run and Kardinal Hall. Highlights from brew day coming to @edoalbemarle this week!
Repost from @reasonbeer - We’re excited to be partnering with @murphyrudemalting for our next beer. The new IPA will feature Virginia-grown and locally-malted grains alongside hops from all over the world. #whatsyourreason#reasonbeer#collaboration29#drinklocal#drinkfresh#ipa#charlottesville#vacraftbeer

Repost from @thefriendlyfermenter - After it's "epic" release at EPIC fest yesterday, "Murphy's Law" goes on tap today @thefriendlyfermenter ! Made in large part with regional grains from @murphyrudemalting, this lager brings the character.
Hey Mark (@finecreekbrewing) we’re gonna need that cottage... Repost from @reallocalrva - The special beer brewed with @ameshotsouthernhoney is ready! It's a Bier de Miel - a drinkable farmhouse ale, brewed with @finecreekbrewing house saison yeast, #thesweetheatofthesouth and local malt from @murphyrudemalting. We sampled it and we can't wait for you to try it!

Repost from @cvillegrid - The new and improved Mosaic Pale Ale by @randomrowbrewing with less bitterness and additional juicy hop flavor from the abundance of Mosaic hops in the whirlpool and dry hop. Random Row Brewing also substituted a portion of the malt bill with Virginia grown malt from @murphyrudemalting. Go check it out this week. 📷 by @randomrowbrewing. #cville#charlottesville#cvillebeer#cvillegrid
This ‘lil #farmbrewery pumps out some incredible beers. It’s ‘cause Kevin @powersfarmbrew has a soft spot for malt, I’m sure of it.
Repost from @powersfarmbrew - We've got our first Virginia-grown barley brew tomorrow, thanks to Jeff at @murphyrudemalting ! More words below!!
I met Jeff at a week-long malting course at Virginia Tech -- he was well on his way to malting before then, and for me it was an exciting opportunity to really understand the process, and scratch an itch about some very small scale plans we have here at the farm. (As an aside, craft malt is something I’ve been fascinated with for years, even making a special trip years ago to visit the pioneers at @riverbendmalt when we thought that might be an route we wanted to take... it’s an amazing art and awesome opportunity to tie local farmers directly into a popular end product.)
We are very passionate about taking flavors from our field and integrating them into beers, to make a product that pairs well with our Produce CSA and reflects our farm. Finding an upstart partner like Jeff also allows us to meet a big goal of including like-minded farmers and craft producers more deeply into our products. We're already using @jasperyeast for all of our yeast prop needs (some fun projects coming here too, more on that soon!!!), combined with Virginia-farmed malt, and our on-farm hops, herbs, fruits & vegetables, we're really able to create unique and very interesting farm beers for our community that reflect us as a place, which is ultimately what drives us to grow and brew.
Look for this batch in 2-3 weeks. Cheers! #craftmalt#virginiabeer
