#fittip of the week is MOVE your BODY! 🏃🏻‍♀️ I know, I know....this time of year is tough to get to the gym, go to your favorite class, etc. 🏋🏻‍♀️
But guess what?
🥰
To move your body, you don't need a gym or a group class.  All you need is you and your body.  Here are 5 ways to move your body without missing a beat this holiday season:
🎄
1.  If you NEED your gym/fitness class, get it done in the AM.  This allows you to enjoy the rest of the day, go out with friends on a whim and give you energy throughout the day!
☀️ 2.  At work, take a BREAK!  Walk around the block.  Walk up and down the stairs, walk anywhere even if it's to get coffee....but get up and move!
🥙 
3.  Baking?  Play your favorite tunes and dance in the kitchen while mixing ingredients.
🍪
4.  Wrapping gifts?  Stand while wrapping and again play that music and move to the beat.  Also, wrap away from the tree so each time you wrap, you need to walk to put it under the tree.
🎁 
5.  Instead of going out for dinner and cocktails to celebrate, maybe take a class or do something active with your loved ones...and then go out for those cocktails!

It is oh-so-human for us to doubt ourselves from time to time. And as a mom, wife, and/or business owners, we can be given to perfectionism that becomes the vicious enemy of our own good work.

With that said, I believe in my intuitive approach to health coaching. I really take the time to find out what is going on with the individual person. One plan does not fit all.

I know I’m doing something right when I hear things like this from my clients: "wow, I can't believe how far I've come and it didn't seem like work. Instead it made me have more energy and I never felt deprived or like I was punishing myself."

I’m certainly not the only adrenal healing coach out there, but I like to think I do things differently than any other you’ll find. My practice of working one-on-one with clients to create the right plan to create a total healthy lifestyle and recover from adrenal fatigue or other hormonal issues. 🥰
I work with moms who cannot seem to lose the weight only to discover their hormones are out of whack.  We work to figure out what is causing these issues and heal it by getting the right foods to fuel their body, the right workout program for them as well as dealing with the emotional piece of weight loss.

This time of year there are so many great foods around us that depriving ourselves only causes us to feel bad about ourselves or over indulge. We want to meet our goals so to do that we need to find a balance. This rule helps us do just that.

During the holidays, I use this rule a lot. I love the holiday food and I want to enjoy it so this works for me.  It helps me not feel guilty if I eat what I want or overdo it if I deprive myself.  Here’s what the 80/20 rule looks like:

Breakfast: Green Smoothie
🍃
Lunch: lots of veggies, lean protein and a healthy fat
🥗
Dinner: same as lunch
🥙
Water: 80-100 oz of water drinking throughout the day and especially after my 20% option

20%: warm chocolate chip cookie and a glass of wine

The first time I had a cookie plate at a restaurant it was taking forever.  I jokingly said to my friends, what are they baking them?  Sure enough when they arrived they were freshly baked, warm and soft and perfect.  I know order a cookie plate for dessert when a restaurant has one. 🍪
I’ll be baking chocolate chip cookies this weekend to bring with us when we go on the Polar Express with the boys.  Both of my boys have severe allergies to eggs so we make cookies with egg replacer and they taste just as good. 🍪

I’m so lucky I get to have a side hustle of what I love. And I ought to say the inspiration to keep pushing comes from my hubby who believes in me and my kids who make me want to be better. I want to push myself every day to show my kids anything is possible. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Let’s talk adrenal fatigue.  Have you heard of it?  Do you have it?  I had it after my second son and I guess it doesn’t go away.  I’ve been feeling really run down lately and have been in denial.  But last week, I said STOP, listen to your body…this is what I tell my clients ALL the time so why wasn’t I doing it? 
I didn’t want to admit I was having these issues again.  I didn’t want to have to go down the road of more rest, less working, more focus on food, less coffee, less chocolate, etc.  But I HAVE to! 
I feel miserable…no energy and if don’t have energy everyone suffers.  I have a 3 and 6 year old boy who have the most energy I’ve ever seen.  I have to keep up! 
So I sat down and created my new workout plan for the month.  I need to move my body or else I’ll feel worse.  So it consist of a lot of stretching and walking.  And when I do add my weights back in, I’m having a stretch/walk day in between.  I know I’ll have to tweak it as I go.  I know my focus is going to be heavy on nutrition because that is what heals my body.  I know it will be a struggle.  I also know it will be so worth it at the end.

Let’s talk adrenal fatigue. Have you heard of it? Do you have it? I had it after my second son and I guess it doesn’t go away. I’ve been feeling really run down lately and have been in denial. But last week, I said STOP, listen to your body…this is what I tell my clients ALL the time so why wasn’t I doing it? I didn’t want to admit I was having these issues again. I didn’t want to have to go down the road of more rest, less working, more focus on food, less coffee, less chocolate, etc. But I HAVE to! I feel miserable…no energy and if don’t have energy everyone suffers. I have a 3 and 6 year old boy who have the most energy I’ve ever seen. I have to keep up! So I sat down and created my new workout plan for the month. I need to move my body or else I’ll feel worse. So it consist of a lot of stretching and walking. And when I do add my weights back in, I’m having a stretch/walk day in between. I know I’ll have to tweak it as I go. I know my focus is going to be heavy on nutrition because that is what heals my body. I know it will be a struggle. I also know it will be so worth it at the end. So here’s to a new month and crushing our goals with 30 days left of the year. Who is with me in making goals this month? These holiday events are intense...there is a lot of wine, a lot of heavy foods and a lot of sweets. All delicious and all to be consumed in a social setting which causes us to eat more. Eating means being social:)

If you know an event is coming up where you just want to enjoy then do that but plan for it. Make sure the week ahead you are sticking to your workouts, staying hydrated and eating right. Make the event your treat meal.

After the event is over, get your workout on, stay hydrated and keep pushing to your goals. One event will not hinder your progress but not getting back to it will. You got this!💕✨

I’m just reveling in the cool crispness of a November morning,the sheer number of pumpkin-related products now available at Trader Joe’s and the nostalgic sound of leaves falling and trying to decide my absolute FAVORITE thing about autumn.

I really can’t lie, for me, it’s all of it! The layers and trench coats and scarves, the colors, the scent of pumpkin and the coolness right before it gets frigid out.
