An MFC act of #SundayService to warm your heart as we wrap up the weekend. Meet Katie, a 26 year old with Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP)- an inherited condition characterized by an extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight. Katie sustained severe blistering sunburns in the first weeks of her life after just a few minutes outdoors, yet has remained skin cancer free!
In this snapshot, Katie is speaking to Dr. Moy who volunteers at Camp Sundown- a wonderful night camp for those with XP. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to team up with such worthy causes and resilient individuals 🙏🏾❤️ 🙌🏽
It may be Wednesday, but we’re still energized from this past weekend when Dr. Chipps, Dr. Fincher and Dr. Moy, each presented at the annual #asdsmeeting . What an incredible and productive few days in Phoenix, reconnecting with professional colleagues and sharing key learnings & latest trends in the field of dermatologic surgery. From the inspirational keynote speakers, to the hands-on labs & workshops, networking events & roundtable discussions, exploring +100 booths in the Exhibit Hall... the 2018 #asdsmeeting truly delivered the BEST of the BEST in faculty and content. Excited to bring this knowledge back to SoCal and already looking forward to next year’s meeting in Chicago!
