My heart is broken for all those effected by the fires in California. Thought it helpful to share for those who have loss and don’t know where to start.
1. Get a P.O. Box so mail gets forwarded.
2. Look for long term rental. Get a place that you like, don’t settle. Think being there for 2 years. Insurance should cover it as long as it is comparable to what you had before.
3. Register with the Red Cross, FEMA, and or other government organizations. Most in coming aid use these lists. They can keep you updated and connected.
4. Network with others who have been effected. Share information and support each other.
5. Get sturdy gloves, boots, and shovel.
6. Save receipts. Loss of use insurance will cover incidentals such as toothbrush, phone chargers, and etc.
7. Let people help, they want to help. This will give a chance focus other details instead of errands.
8. Of course, itemize your belongings for insurance.
9. To rebuild is staggering. Share your strengths and learn from others.
10. And in the end, safety, health, love and sunshine is what matters. 💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛
Dance before the blessings of the 4 directions, north, east, south, and west. Paraphrasing the prayer, and not as in depth. North from which cold winds come and the strength of the bear, like the mother bear the strongest animal in the lands. East from which the sunrises and gives new life. South is gentle and kind. And west where the sunsets and illuminates with color of rememberance, the cycle of life, to rise again tomorrow, and to one day our sun will set.
The days and air is filled with the aroma of autumn. Cool air and cozy sunshine.

A visit to Walnut Canyon, AZ. Every nook and cranny of this planet holds surprises.
Sinagua people lived in cliff dwellings 800 years ago and were master artisans. This is a reconstructed doorway. Dynamite was used to scare off rattlesnakes for early visitors and destroyed many structures.
The walls were thick which stayed cool in the blistering summers, and retained heat in snowy winters. And they had the best views!
Goodnight sun! How many sunsets has this magnificent canyon seen? .
“Leave it as it is. You cannot improve on it. The ages have been at work on it, and man can only mar it.”
Thanks TR for setting aside this wondrous place.

It’s a win, win, win! For you, others, and Mother Earth🌏
A care bag for an older women that lives in her car with her little white poodle. She keeps herself, dog, and vehicle tidy-clean. I peeked over my back fence early this morning, and she had a foot outside the window chillaxing, she even had her toenails painted pink. To see them, you wouldn’t think they were roughing it. She’s been staying at that spot off and on for 2 years that I know of. She keeps on the move. Finally had a chance to leave a little bag next to the car. So many people hold jobs and live the gypsy way.
Who’s excited for pumpkin season! The largest pumpkin was a whopping 2,625.6lbs, set in 2016, Belgium.
🎃There’s 42 varieties and all edible. Some are just to lovely cook. The Giant Pumpkins is appropriately named for those big mega pumpkins cultivated for competitions. Seeds from the winner are used for the next year’s competition.
Looking forward to bread, soup, curry ...😋
This has become our morning fav. I triple the recipe to enjoy through the week. .
😋Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, & Cardamom Oatmeal. It’s creamy and healthy, without tasting like it’s good for ya. The oatmeal and spices are loaded with beneficial goodness.
This was cooked in the Sunflair®️ Mini Solar Oven. Increase recipe for more servings in the Sunflair Deluxe #solaroven .
☀️Cook Time: 1 hour (approx)
1 3/4 cup water (see first sentence in directions)
1 cup rolled oats (see first sentence in directions)
1/2 cup chopped pitted dates, or raisins
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
A pinch of Himalayan salt
Look at the water to oats ratio on package, but reduce the water by 1/4. Add all the ingredients in the pot, mix together, and cover with the lid. Place in Sunflair® and cook for approximately 1 hour. A bit longer if the volume of the recipe had been increased.
A clever emergency water supply solution by Lisa who was prepping for hurricane Florence. Water was sold out at her stores. She filled 1 gallon zip bags with tap water. She will transfer water to water bottles or pitchers as they empty. And she has her Sunflair Solar Oven Mini to cook, and pasteurize water. @sunflairsolarovens Be safe! #hurricaneflorence
Having a background in history, archaeology, and anthropology, I’m always struck by the identical thinking of “most” cultures, no mater how ancient the writings or spoken stories. Lots of Wawoohola and Cantognake💛!
