Funny the things your parents keep. There's a few scrapes on my Sheriff's badge 🌟 but it is in pretty good nick considering it must be at least 20 years old.
As a kid, playing with friends, and now as an adult 😨, whatever one of those is, I have always liked being the leader of the pack.
I realised over time that there is a misconception about leaders being the most important players in a team but leadership should not be about recognition or status.
I believe a leader's primary role is to bring out the strengths of those around them and to be a unifying force.
It is thanks to the various good role models around me that I gained enough confidence to risk making a fool of myself in order to (hopefully) help others over the years.
This little badge didn't make me a leader, the same way a job title doesn't make someone else one. So, give encouragement and build others up, you're never too small to lead the way. *Disclaimer* No Sheriffs were harmed in the making of this video.

It was fantastic to grab a chat with some of our award winners, including @northernireland and @wba defender Jonny Evans who was named International Personality of the Year at the #NIFootballAwards .
With approx. 380 people there to celebrate, I'm very proud to be a part of the committee that hosted the biggest night in NI football.
What an honour it was to induct the first 5 legends into the inaugural @officialports Hall of Fame.
Loved hearing all the memories and stories from Mickey Keenan, Philip Major, Alfie Stewart, Gregg Davidson and Brian Strain.
Those in attendance no doubt felt the special bond that those players had which led to various domestic honours.
I've spoken with @colerainefc players and staff all season, hearing and sensing their determination to collect silverware in response to last year's final.
Last week I felt their extreme disappointment as the league title slipped away but what struck me was how @orankearney carried himself. It is no wonder those players give him everything they have.
Today they deserve their glory and I want to say a big congratulations to everyone at the club. 👏
