I thought I might go to the basic side of instagram with themed filtering and editing. If you slide to the end you'll see blob looking like she saved the whole beach (she's the real mermaid not that damn statue), my family acting all cute n shit, and a cute dirty car window. ;)
Mezquita-Catedral in Cordoba, when 2 religions collide, so does their architecture. This masjid/cathedral was the inspiration of the design of the Haram in Makkah, once you go you realise the similarity in structure and design ☺️ but it's huge, so of course you'll lose your mum 😂🤷🏻♀️
This was at Madina Az-Zahra, a former city under Islamic rule, I don't really remember much other than it was huge, so we couldn't be bothered looking at all the ruins 😂 it was far too hot. Oh and a baby I met on the bus slobbered all over my toy monkey (which I gave to him to stop crying) I love meeting babies when travelling 😂 his parents were Morrocan/American ☺️ and they thanked me for shutting him up 😂😂😂
Spain feels like so long ago, but hey ho, it was great, you know, family squabbles, awesome architecture, finding halal food (impossible) and all :) •
The second picture is of this tower that used to be where the azaan was called but is now part of the cathedral, 😪
Churches have always fascinated me. Any religious building to be quite frank, has a certain energy around it. You know it's God's house. Or it once was, if not now. How feeble humans decide to dedicate such grand buildings to God, and yet there are still beggars on the stone steps outside. Ironic isn't it. How us humans love religion but forget to love God by loving people.
The word "Alcazaba" kept popping up in each city,
In fact it comes from the Arabic word "قصبة" (Qasabah) which means palace.
There seemed to be almost one in every city, it was crazy to see how Islam had spread this far, the architectural influence, the gardens now are stunning, one can only imagine what they were like back then. The walls now bathed in scorching sunlight, as though the sky knew what glory must have lived on this land.
Someone described me as passionate
Someone described me as confident
Someone described me as what I didn't see in myself
And then I stopped
If other people can think these amazing positive things about me
Why the Hell can't I?
Because at the end of it all, I'm all I have, I may as well be on my own side. 🤷🏻♀️🌻🌻🌻
