I made a Sakura Matcha Cheesecake πŸŒΈπŸ’•
It didn't involved any baking hihi 🍰 I didn't wanted the Matcha to overpower the subtle flavor of the Sakura, so I put the Matcha only in the middle. The saltyness of the Sakura fits perfectly to the saltyness of the cream cheese.

Today I made lunch with Kouya Tofu (dried Tofu) and Kanpyou (marinated pumpkin). I simmered the Kouya Tofu in a broth to make it soft and then I fried it in the pan. It has an interesting texture - almost like meat. The Kanpyou tastes very sweet from the marinade - but not like pumpkin at all. It's perfect for Sushi rolls.

I made meatballs glazed with a sweet soy sauce, with rice and soy beans πŸ˜‹πŸ΄πŸ» I ran out of sticky rice from the asian store so I tried milk rice from the german supermarket. Turns out that milk rice is indeed just normal sticky rice πŸ˜… #japanesecooking #japanesefood #soybeans #edamame

I had some left over radish so I grated it and tried to make  Daikon Mochi / Daikonchi πŸ˜‹πŸŽ΅ It's basically just grated radish with corn starch, but I put way too much starch in it because the dough was so liquid and I didn't knew it would get firm when fried πŸ˜… But it was still tasty 🍴

Tried to make a Matcha parfait... but it's more difficult than I thought! πŸ’š The home-made matcha ice cream turned out too hard (I don't have an ice cream machine πŸ˜…), I put too much sugar in all the recipes and I realized I don't own a parfait glass πŸ˜… But it still tasted great after all πŸ’š I made Matcha ice cream, cake, shiratama dango (small mochi balls) and warabi mochi (jelly-like mochi) β€πŸ˜‹ I also used special Matcha for baking&cooking, it has a stronger flavour and makes everything taste more Matcha-intense 😍

I think it's supposed to be candy but I ate it like normal potato dumplings πŸ˜‚.
