Minimal and quiet. Exactly what I need this Tuesday. I feel strongly that in a well designed space, color isn’t always is needed. Do you agree? | Design by, @studiodaminato

After a wonderful weekend in Malibu with my family, I am reminded just how much I love spending time with the people I love most. That, and how much I adore California and being by the ocean!!! Maybe I can convince my husband to move here next?! Tonight, I can’t stop drooling over this gorgeous Malibu estate designed by @denisekurigerdesign. What an incredible opportunity to design a home like this; and, if you ask me, she absolutely nailed it! 🙌🏼

Let this Saturday be for you. Do something that makes you happy and feel good. Taking care of yourself is what gives you the strength to take care of all the other things life throws your way. | Design by @ferrisrafauli

It’s tough when a holiday falls in the middle of a work week, but I’m excited to have an excuse to spend the next 5 days with my family. Hoping everyone is able to take a little bit of time off from work this week and enjoy the warm weather! Today I’m crushing on this chic outdoor space by Peter Billiards. The combination of lanterns and that view make it look like a dream! ✨💫

Love the juxtaposition of the curved staircase against the herringbone floors and rectilinear moldings in this sophisticated space @stevenharrisarchitects. This is truly a work of art! 👏🏼

Beauty lies in the unique. That’s what makes marble such a beautiful stone to work with. Each and every slab is unique unto itself and brings with it its own story. I absolutely love the marble featured in this kitchen. The veining in this backsplash is absolutely exquisite. It is perfectly used. It is perfectly unique. It is perfectly beautiful. 🖤 | Design by @thedesignco

One of my favorite trips we’ve taken was to Dubai as it had some of the most inspiring architecture and interiors I have ever experienced. There is a particular attention to detail in each and every space; it’s something rare, something you don’t come across everywhere, something spectacular. For those passionate about design, it’s definitely a place to see! Today, I’m crushing on this lounge at the @fivepalmjumeirah. The layering, emerald jewel tones and sleek style is simply exquisite.

Texture and layering is key to good design. These small details aren’t always as obvious as a strong color pallet, or that one piece of bold artwork, but they are necessary. I like to think of them as the X-Factor. Without these key details, designs often fall flat and lack that little something extra. Today’s feature is a gorgeous restaurant in France by @claude_cartier_decoration; perfect example of nailing that X-Factor.

In this jaw dropping shower, @mantisdesignbuild shows the power of Biophilic Design with sophistication, elegance and ease.
For those unfamiliar with the term, in short, Biophilic Design is the use of natural materials, lighting and vegetation in the modern built environment. The term stems from biophilia, which is the inherent human inclination to feel connected with nature. This space is a great example of how good design can be an experience in itself. I mean, who wouldn’t want to shower here every morning? 🌿💦🍃 #biophilicdesign

Did you know that exposure to natural light is linked with higher levels of energy, can help improve your mood and positively impact your quality of life? Opening my drapes and blinds is one of the first things I do every morning, and I truly feel it makes a difference! The big windows and natural light instantly struck me when I came across this dining space by @jamiebushco featured in @ArchDigest. Not only is the space impeccably designed with a breathless view, the natural light truly makes me feel happy inside. Beautiful work! 👏🏼

Don’t be afraid to do something different, and go outside your comfort zone. The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward ... especially when it comes to design! Loving these planter chairs and bubble chandelier in this @vandervelpen penthouse design! When can I move in?! 🙌🏼

First impressions matter and the entryway of a home serves as the first impression to your guests. Don’t neglect it. Treat it with the same importance as you would your kitchen or bedroom. The entry to your home should be impactful. It should be welcoming, intriguing, subtle and keep your guests wanting to see more. I love the poised simplicity of this entryway by @mhouseinc. The oversized mirror enhances the space, adding dimension; while the console table and vase introduces unique geometric shapes, textures and materiality. I’d definitely want to be invited further into this home. If the entryway is this stunning, I can only image what awaits beyond the threshold! 🖤

Scale is everything when it comes to design. That is why it’s so important to get it right. I think the size of the artwork featured here is right on point. I love how the piece hits slightly above the tops of the windows and drops down past the height of the side table. I actually think it could go even lower towards the floor, but without knowing the ceiling height of this particular space, it’s hard to say for sure. To top it off, I love how the shot was styled with that tall floral arrangement. The case and florals sit lightly in the room while still adding necessary volume and just the right amount of texture to the space. Seemingly little things in design often go a long way. | Please Comment for Credit
