Got all of my wisdom teeth removed this morning ! The procedure went very smoothly and I now have control over my mouth again 😆 Unfortunate that I’m going to be eating squash soup, mashed potatoes, and ice cream for a while 😉 The pain isn’t too bad with the meds but it’s still a tad sore, I wonder what the swelling will be like tomorrow 🐻

When you’re lifting , think about the part of your body that you’re trying to work. Focus on that part and reaaallllyy activate it 👌 Not only can this prevent injury but will give you a better workout overall 🔥

This is the happiest I have ever been with my shape. Not because it’s the leanest, the the lightest, or the heaviest I’ve been,  but because it is the most I have ever loved my body 💕
~
We all have our insecurities and mine was with my thighs and mid-section. “They’re too thick. Why do you hold your weight there? Don’t lift as heavy”. These are all things I’ve told myself, things that sometimes still creep up on me, and probably things that may never stop coming up... BUT I’m learning how to stop them before they get too far and get me feeling low🛑

Here’s to working towards loving my body for what it is, does, and will become ✌️ Cheers!

These are questions I’ve recently been thinking about and learning a lot from. It’s so important to surround yourself with people who encourage you to be the best version of yourself that you can be, people who believe in you and want you to succeed. They will challenge your ways of thinking and open you up to perspectives you never considered 🧠

The majority of my page is focused on fitness and working out but a large component of it is also mental and personal growth. I’ve made some significant positive changes in the way I think about certain things and most of them have resulted from interactions with the people around me. To those who have helped me make those changes, thank you (you know who you are 💕)

Last night, we observed a Sharon in her natural habitat. She was feeding on mass amounts of sushi, laughing at funny pictures, and enjoying the company of some pretty cool people. As colder temperatures settle into the city of Toronto, the wild Sharon dons a bright yellow coat which actually serves a protective function, to prevent cars from hitting her. These sightings are pretty rare so stay tuned, we’ll be here to keep you all up to date 👀

I may not be able to fly, cut through walls with laser eyes, or have super strength but I am learning how to rely on myself and take care of my own well-being 🌸

Being a hero doesn’t mean having a special suit or saving the city. It’s realizing that everyday you will face challenges and decisions that will test your attitudes towards certain situations. Realize that you are the one who is in control, yes you. When you do this, you will realize just how powerful it can be 🔥

Made these over the weekend and ... oh... my... gosh... 😍

1.5 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
3 med bananas (mushed)
0.5 cup salted melted butter
0.75 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate chips (to desired amount) 🍫

Preheat oven to 400F, right before putting muffins in set to 350F, bake for 15-20 minutes. They’re done when you can poke a toothpick in and it comes out clean 👌 Makes 12 muffins (but you’ll want to make more) 😉

Curves making a post-summer-cut comeback 🙌

When I first started lifting weights, I had this fear that it would make my body bulky. Four years later, I can say that it has had the opposite effect. Lifting has given me curves and helped me love my body all year round. I’m not saying there aren’t days when I feel bloated and potato-y 🥔 but I’ve come to appreciate the beauty that is a functional healthy body

I’ve never felt stronger (both mentally and physically) and I’m so glad I decided to give this journey a chance 😊
