Working on the selfie game.
This is some of the stuff I started taking on the social media break so... I apologise for the amount of gratuitous selfies I'll be posting and the down right, unfettered narcissism that comes with being me.
Tan turned out OK in spite of everyone thinking it was fake. I am part Asian and part Spanish you know? Like... sure that comes with a bunch of corruption and the penchant to nap in the afternoon, but it does make for some nice golden skin if I ever adventure out under the day-star.
Heh, I can say that shit, you can't. Unless you can.
Yeah... @drmarknieh did an alright job I suppose 😁😁😁 #gym#lift#fitness#bodybuilding#doyoueven#workout#muscle#dedicated#health#flex#shredded#selfie#physique#bulk#shred#training#lifting#gains#gainz#calisthenics
I do still train on occasion, try and take myself outside my comfort zone but I'd be lying if I said I spend enough time there.
So many things and theories have changed over the years and some I agree with some I disagree with; some people may think its disrespectful to disagree or question, I say that's simply being pragmatic, anything that's true and practical should be able to stand up to criticism and not automatically play the "How dare you say that" card.
I'd be chewed out for punching like this, no commitment with the shoulders, slack right hand, very little shoulder roll, hell, even the fist looks weak, why did I put this up?! Speaking of "Why did I put this up?" Reminds me of a conversation between myself and @nicholaskthomas at the Battle in the Bush 4... Nick: "Its like what Jet Li said after the Battle of Yavin, liquid can drip, or it can crash, be gender fluid my dude"
Me: "I don't think any of that is right..."
Nick: "Yeah well, you get the gist"
Transition to head control from being inside the shoulder line, dangerous stuff because you're pretty bloody likely to get hit, so, get in, get control and quick otherwise you're gonna get smashed.
Sometimes I get the question as to why we practise self defence in this manner, with flat feet, standing face to face and with static freezes.
While self defence is chaotic and no one is going to stand there flat footed and stop after 1 attack, its a starting point; it teaches safe and danger zones, and allows you to practise techniques in a safe environment, but yes, the training, to be effective needs to evolve to be more realistic as your skills increase.
Neck strikes work so well for transitions :D:D
When your home town ain't so shabby.
So I just finished with a BUNCH of stuff; not the least being a pretty major photoshoot, lots of business and $$$ related things and other such personal things that I'd bore you with.
Just know I'm back again for a while, lets do... the things.
Train hard, get the results, be proud of your damn self, let the people talk, their words mean as much as you let them.
I'm pretty sure I've got my own rogues gallery; people that don't like the way I do things, don't like my attitude, don't like my personality, don't like my face.
So is your choice.
And so is my choice to not let it affect me and to go do what I want to do, irrespective of whether it pisses you off or not.
My true friends are the ones who see my victory as theirs, and vice versa, the ones who suffer with me when they could easily abandon ship, the ones who have my back even though I might be in the wrong, and the ones who will kick my arse afterwards for putting myself and them in that position.
I believe you're the average of the 5 people you have the most to do with;- pick those 5 people well because they're as much a reflection of you as anything, surround yourself with decent people who will raise you up with them, not losers who achieve nothing, blame others for their lack of achievement and death wish you for wanting better.
