Last stop: #yugawara for onsen ♨️ and an evening walk in a lovely park to see fireflies! One last solitary (thank you hubby!) dip in the rotemburo (outdoor hot spring) and we’re off to the airport. Every time I leave Japan I feel like I’m leaving home...and in a way, I am. Thank you for making us feel at home お母さん and @kyhk2525! We love you! Till next time 🇯🇵💖☺️
Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, day 2 of 3. 12 hours at 2 parks, countless smiles, endless wonder, 2 passed out kids and 3 exhausted but uplifted grownups. Win.
I went to Disneyland for the first time as a college student and never really understood what all the fuss was about. Visiting for the first time as a parent, now I get it. Disney Magic is real.
Thank you for spoiling our kids, Obachama! And, 🎀 Happy Birthday! 🎀
The Osaka Aquarium is pretty spectacular! Favorites were the whale sharks, huge stingrays and the extensive jellyfish exhibit. Kaila’s favorite was “Dory!” 😂 Only a few photos because my phone was running out of battery...🤦🏻♀️
My mom and I got each other the exact same Mother’s Day gift. It might not seem that out of the ordinary, but this has happened many times over the years. We’ve given the exact same greeting card for family members’ birthdays, gifted the same outfit or very similar toys. When I was on the mainland in college, on one of our weekly phone calls she said, “I had a dream that you pierced something, you didn’t pierce anything did you?!” And I had, in fact, pierced my eyebrow a few days earlier, my first body piercing ever, which I of course did not tell my parents about beforehand.
We are connected, my Mom and I, and I am so thankful to have her as my mother, sister, counselor and friend. I hope that one day I’ll share this kind of connection with my own children. 👭💕🌈
These two were born 3 days apart and watching them play together makes me so happy! Looking forward to seeing their younger brothers, who were born 4 days apart, become friends too. 👫👬 @emi.a.gi #whatarethechances#friendsforlife
Our little foodie loves 🍄, so for her birthday we got her an oyster mushroom farm from @backtotheroots_official. It was awesome to see her so excited about watering and watching them grow everyday, though I think I *may* have been even more excited than she was! 😝 Last night we made mushroom pasta using the freshly picked rainbow chard, thyme and oregano from #keikiandplow . Nomnomnom #farmtotable#knowyourfood
Amazing morning at @keikiandplow! K picked us some vegetables while seeing how they grow, we got a beautiful brown to blue ombré dozen super fresh eggs, and she happily played in the magical “Keiki Coop” play area with the chickens and bunnies. What a special place you guys have created, @keikiandplow - can’t wait to see all your future plans for the farm come to life!
Out and about Kakaako for a photography class with #aiahonolulu for #architecturemonth . Full day seminar, street shoot and crit - Kenzo was a rock star and did the whole thing with me and stayed happy all day! 🙌🏼
