Butter in the skillet (real butter... no vegetable, canola, or seed oil found in this house) diced up some strip then popped in some eggs. Nice lunch. Traveling today so we'll see what I come up with on the go! I'm just back from New Orleans and had a blast - didn't gain a pound! Ha! And I fully enjoyed myself. Found plenty of carnivorous savory and local flavor dishes! No problem staying off grains. I did partake in some obligatory ice cream birthday food. No cravings resulted. But I did experience some indigestion and bloat for a night! Haven't had that In a loooong time! Now off to a business meeting in FL and I look forward to seeing what options present! Stay tuned. ✌

One of my favorite carnivorous finds down here so far...short rib just melting with a pull of the fork. Of course when you come here, it's a must that you try the BBQ shrimp! I believe I put that in my story or on Snapchat (wadebaskin). Loving being a carnivore in NOLA. They brought me some bread pudding with a candle in it for my birthday so I did eat some...good news is that it didn't mess me up too much ha! And so far no cravings have kicked in. Stomach took a while to digest it ...sheesh! You get so used to such an efficient effortless digestion eating meat and all it takes is a little crap to remind you of how good things really are! 😆. Once you've hit your ideal physiology and you Keep it there 6 months to a year,  it's hard to mess it up. Fat thermostat has been reset. People always ask "What are you allowed to eat." And my response is "Anything I want." It's a nice place to be. .

Iron skillet prepared strip. Perfectly cooked to medium rare. Good find in the #bigeasy as a carnivore. Most restaurants here in NOLA and in the French Quarter have good meat choices, and those that cater to the veggie peeps generally have eggs and bacon. Other food choices I've made are filet, shrimp cocktail, bbq shrimp, omelettes with cheddar and an assortment of meat, cup of chicken gumbo no rice, short rib (to die for), and a little cafe' au lait. Cocktails are vodka tonics when the occasion presents🍸. It's my birthday trip, and what's cool is that there is NO restriction or cravings...just fun, food, and maybe a little debauchery followed by recovery😉. When you're healthy and fit, life is good. In order to achieve that optimum health and fit status, there is much more restriction...it takes focus and energy to achieve physiological change. And yes, some sacrifice! But once you are there, it will have all been worth it. When you do it right, there is no going back. Keto and carnivore ways of eating change lives by rejuvenation and repair with the secret lying in animal nutrition. Those who avoid it tend to have more problems. We can survive on plants but we thrive on real red meat. 🍖Cheers!🍻

Happy joints and no need for supplents anymore... no more fish oil, glucosamine, chondroitin, HA (hyaluronic acid)...But I do keep collagen peptides around for those lean times. I also keep a stash of bone broth readily available. .

Eating out, staying amazingly healthy by eating bone in ribeye doused in butter with crab meat as a side 👊💥👊. The Original super food. It drives the plant-based community crazy. It's amazing to see the daily stories of chronic disease resolution via a carnivorous diet. Eliminate the very thing the WHO and other various "agencies" recommend (whole food plant-based foods) and get rid of so-called incurable diseases. Eliminate meat and suffer nutritional deficiencies, digestive issues, bloat, loss of libido, skin problems, auto immune inflammatory problems, aches, pains, infertility, metabolic disorders, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, malaise, foggy thinking, and struggle with health issues in general. Sound familiar to my vegan/veggie buddies? Hmmm - What to do. Just go even more vegan or vegetarian right?! Ha! The problem is that meat has unfortunately and unreservedly been vilified by forces that depend on plant based consumption...follow the money. The studies cited about meat causing problems actually don't selectively study meat at all! It's not bad to consume plants (the 1% that are edible), it's just better to consume animal based foods. Works every time in resolving issues created by chronic vegan or vegetarianism. Love hitting workouts during sunrise...2 years ago, I was way too fatigued, bloated and sluggish to even consider a morning workout. I decided to abandon my institution-based knowledge on nutrition which consisted of limiting saturated fats, opting for whole food nutrition, focusing on micronutrients, and avoiding processed foods. I also limited red meat of you can believe that! Yep, I was the guy eating occasional chicken breasts...not too much tho, as our world eats too much meat, right? I juiced some, did the raw thing, always had my athletic greens drink, cooked in seed oils. I was 30 lbs heavier and with a host of maladies and measurements that designated me a high risk for all things bad (see my pics in my feed and in my highlights) Something had to change. So I decided that by the time I turned 50, I would be in the best health of my life. I owed it to myself, my family, and my patients. I took a hard look at my science that was not working, and I found flaws. I detected agendas. Digging deeper I found data that made sense, and eventually found the truth. What we've been taught since the 1960s is basically wrong. And it was magnified just after 1977 when we blew up in the 80s and we've continued along this path. Common sense should reveal that we need a complete 180! So I did. I turned the food pyramid upside down basically and tossed the vegetable oils, grains, and carbs. I used a ketogenic approach then shifted to zero carb 4 months ago. I'm 51 in a few days, and I feel like I did in my late 20s (and I weigh what I did back then too!), hence the morning workout. Plenty of energy and strength. No carbs, just carnivorous eating now about twice a day to satiety. 2-3 lbs a day of beef basically. Blood work and anthropomorphics done recently for life insurance were perfect and I qualified for the "elite" level. So 2 years of high saturated fat and moderate to high protein eating has fully restored my health and rejuvenated my body. I love this woe and it is fully sustainable. No going back. Cheers!

Cowboy bone-in ribeye covered with crab meat and butter. Getting my poundage in 😉. No macro or calorie counting here. I probably won't have to eat for a few days after this bad boy🤣. In all my years of nutrition counseling and wellness programming, I admit that this is the simplest, most powerful way to restore health. It will never achieve main stream acceptance due to the threat it poses to so many industries and jobs. Buuuut, I do see this diet being accepted as an elimination approach. I also see the meat industry making a comeback in the next several years (thanks to us💪😁✌). Despite the plant-based movement, I also see the truth eventually making it into some institutions of higher learning (that might take up to a decade). And despite, what the veteran carnivores know, I believe that there will always be the "balanced approach" preached.  Personally and professionally, I do not see the rationale in this. We NEED animal-based nutrition (99% of it) and we can handle plants (1% of them). Not very balanced, eh?  Thats by natural design. In times of scarcity, plants can serve a purpose, but thriving as a species comes from ingestion of animal based nutrition. Go eat a steak (treat yourself with crab and butter, ha!) and continue on this path to reveal your healthiest genetic expression of you. 💪😁✌

Beef patty with grass fed burger/beef heart and a small amount of raw sharp cheddar. Salted with Redmonds ancient fine sea salt of course. Why this today? I forgot I thawed it out and had to use it!  A little meal prep fail ha! I really don't meal prep or plan anymore other than make sure I have enough beef in the freezer and fridge. I prefer steak with a thick cut ribeye as my go-to. This was my lunch! Another great example of simple, inexpensive, and convenient carnivorous eating (with a little variety as I don't do eggs often). About a pound of beef, browned it, tossed in 3 eggs, Redmonds ancient fine sea salt, added butter, and to stay with the quick and cheap theme,  I actually used a paper bowl ha! Steaks are back on the menu next as I still absolutely love ribeye, strip, and an occasional sirloin. I shop some locally and get the best cuts at link in my bio. There is a keto section that makes it super easy. Costs same as going to the local store but huge quality difference! I don't hinge on grassfed as much anymore, but I certainly love great quality fresh cuts of steak. I'm on a mission to cure SDS...steak deficiency syndrome (coined by @shawnbaker1967)... and I'm making headway. Just 4 weeks on a carnivore diet can work wonders. 12 weeks can change a life! It's the perfect elimination and optimum physiology restoration approach. It's ancestral nutrition at its finest, and it's for those who want results and finally understand that current nutrition sponsored education and dogma aren't working and never will. Carnivore on the run! Finishing a long day of helping patients...I'm hungry, call home and ask how much meat I have left, and due to my carnivore college kid and my high school keto daughter, the answer was "none, so you're on your own." Not wanting to get caught in conversation at the grocery store (had tasks to finish), I opted to give Burger King a try and got the King Bacon, bunless. Cost about 6 bucks. It was good. Didn't mean to get the cheese, so put me on carnivore probation if you wish. I also plead guilty to not knowing what the cheese was really made of. I'm sure my body will handle it without consequences as it's a rare event. I'm not doing Hardees anymore as their Angus beef contains partially hydrogenated soy bean and cotton seed oil. McDonalds and Burger King's beef by the way are just 100% beef. Cheers!

How to do a hibachi restaurant as a carnivore that doesn't mind a trace amount of wasabi and soy sauce one a month ha! Had my shrimp and steak cooked without soy or teriyaki and I had tuna, shrimp, and crab sashimi (dipped a little in wasabi/soy)... I know, I know...it didn't bother me at all though...no drop in test yet and no gynecomastia 😉. Our bodies are pretty smart and work wonders when we fuel them ancestrally, and mine loves a carnivorous diet. It can handle an occasional plant that sneaks in, and it's a little more responsive to ETOH if you know what I mean. A lot of really smart people speculate on the how and why of the carnivore diet's success, i.e. does meat heal or is it the elimination of all else. I think it's a multitude of things that eventually lead to your body operating at it's physiologic best. Our bodies do amazing things when we get out of the way. .
Addition of essential nutrition through animal-based food and elimination of non-essential plant-based food seems pretty commonsensical to me. It's what got us here as a species (And without chronic disease). To eliminate the essentials seems ludicrous, and unfortunately there is a strong movement to do just that. Eat mostly plants? Huh? Don't be fooled, folks. ✌.

AHhh... Lunch at our local market cafe'. It's called the BEC burger (bacon, egg, cheese) and of course I got it as a double, naked and without all the special sauce they usually add. The chef had to come make sure I wasn't still hungry,  ha! 4 months carnivore with no plans to change course. I'll keep in occasional eggs and hard cheese...and maybe heavy whipping cream with a rare keto treat my daughter makes. Coffee is still on the morning menu about 5 times a week. All is great with no cravings, perfect body weight, super energy, no aches, no pains, no digestive issues, no bloat...just feeling like I'm in my late 20s. Can't really complain like I could 2 years ago at this time where I was not like this to say the least. As a doctor of physical therapy (Osteopractor) in constant search of a better way to treat my patients, I had to eventually apply this to myself. Now I'm a better dad, husband, and practitioner. I do practice what I preach, and I remain committed to helping others simply learn the truth about diet and it's impact on health and fitness. Thank you for the follow!
